Jeremy it would have been interesting had they had a real race car driver instead of that actor especially without the a AWD GTR, glad you won nonetheless way to represent the GTR. Interestingly enough that BMW driver will never be able to live that B slap laid down on him it took the win right out of his sail he knew he had better lose the next race or else, glad that wasn't you.

08NismoZ if you were lead to believe the rednecks weren't very familiar with GTRs, than those guys are better actors than I give them credit for. The rednecks are actually very familiar with GTRs, just from their experience in Optima events. In fact, Finch and Tucker both ran faster than a GTR (his AWD was working) in the autocross in our 2011 Ultimate Street Car Invitational event and Tucker ran faster on the road course as well. They also ran against another GTR in the 2012 Optima Ultimate Street Car Invitational, which will air this Sunday on SPEED at 11AM Eastern.

Jeremy, we'd love to see you come back to CMP with your AWD working for the Detroit Speed Southern Slam on April 20 & 21^st . The Southern Slam isn't wheel to wheel racing, but it is timed and many of the rednecks will be running in it, so you'll be able to figure out if you could've lapped them (everyone else is welcome to run as well).

The Southern Slam is also a qualifying event for the 2013 Optima Ultimate Street Car Invitational. We don't offer $10,000 to the winner, like the Redneck show, but if you get invited to compete in the OUSCI, your car will be on display at SEMA all week and our event is filmed for TV. We also give away some pretty nice swag to the competitors. It is an event for street cars only, so we do have a 200 treadwear minimum as well, but most of those guys aren't running ABS, so an AWD GTR should still have quite an advantage and the two that have run the past two years have done quite well.
