UK Media Reviews the 2017 GTR NISMO

Various  UK Car media outlets were able to get their hands on the only 2017 GTR NISMO in the UK (one of less than 30 that will be available.)  The tests were on the Silverstone GP Circuit but however in freezing and wet conditions.  Below is a compilation of the reviews

Seems very odd to test any car in these conditions.

maybe since there are  less than 30 coming to the UK this might have been Nissan UKs only demo and this was their one shot to test it so they had to make due with what they had.   its a shame as  AutoExpress did a great video review of the 2015 NISMO

as far has his inaccuracies  the Turbos are from the GT300/GT3 spec not GT500.   The NISMO has the EXACT SAME  exhaust as the standard car for 2017 so notes are identical.    CC brakes are not an option from NISMO. Also seemed like he implied the wing was reworked for 17 which it wasnt.

here is the print  review on their site

Its the UK, there' isn't a day it does not rain or is overcast.

All the reviews are positive... That's got to be great for Nissan.  Wonder if the money they make from this version will go in to future developements? Like more performance?

You'd have to be very dimwitted to say that...

might be dimwitted at best on this comment.

sense of humor much ?

Ooooo so touchy... Relax...

That front end is horrifically ugly. Previous Nismo looked much better.

wait ? what ?

to each to their own, I'm sure the car is a +1 over the previous cars but a lot more internally has been done on Nismo's that if any talk about the structure points that have been upgraded to improve the overall car :)

that is also possibly the shortcoming for the 2017 if any for both the premium and NISMO.  they strengthened the A pillar area and the chassis area around the trunk but they then tuned the suspension around that. So for the  premium and the NISMO both suspensions respectively are a little softer and compliant than befor. In theory and on paper the stiffer chassis will compensate for these  more "mature" suspension tweaks.   in the real world testing so far is  ( for the premium at least) is seems the suspension tweaks produce more body roll and understeer than ever before despite what was done to the chassis

that is a reason I was so disappointed this NISMO test was in the wet

And the lunatics that buy them lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

+1, sigh though.

Now, how much better would the Nismo go with CCR brakes. I still think for the money it should have come with CCR brakes and front mounted trans cooler.

Seemed like a cartoon I thought.

prob is the cost would explode for the USA spec cars. FYI keep in mind for each add on of the parts your suggestion, there's $$$$$$$$$$$costs explosive costs........, not putting you down any way on it and they are a great idea AND THEY SHOULD BE standard......keep in mind the production liability and also the time & $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ added to R&D the car for product liability...............what if the cooler was added like GM would slap on a upgrade and they started taking a *****it + the lawyers would be all over nissan for defective product.
