Ok I don't actually know who has them in stock but Michelin just added them to their site and announced availability.  I'm a little annoyed I bought 275/35-20 and 295/35-20 in December and just got them mounted with under 20 miles on them.  If anyone is interested in two of either of those sizes let me know.  :)

Both the 255/40-20 and 285/35-20 are added.  Also they have 285/40-19 which keeps the same OEM diameter for those running 19" wheels..

If anyone finds out a release date please post it here and where you got the information.  Discount Tire Direct isn't showing anything in there system on these yet but I'll be checking on a regular basis.  I'm ready to order these NOW!

Now that I saw them I was looking to replace my R888's and seems like the best option for my 10/11 rim setup would be 285/35/20 at 27.9" and 295/35/20 rear at 28.1" or would you guys recommend running 285/35/20 square except on the 10 inch fronts and 11" rears.  Unfortunately the 315's for the rear are only offered in a 315/35 which is 28.7" a little to tall IMO, there is a 335/30/20 option at 28.1" but seems a bit to wide potentially?  Let me know your thoughts?

I just ordered the 285/35/20 for the front and 335/30/20 for the rear... to compliment my Advan RZ-DF 20X10 Front / 20X12 rear... Can't wait to get them on next week!!!

Nothing like a Michelin that's for SURE!!!

The 285 is 27.9 & the 335 is 28.0  (They have a 345 that is 28.1)... If you have the wider rear wheels.. nothing like the 335 IMO. And the tire height is perfect!

Do you think the 335's will have any rubbing issues vs a 315? and do you think I could use the 335 on an 11" rear vs 12" rear rim? Where did you order from?

I have to re-ask the question above; Are these comparable to R888's and Nitto 555R's? I know these tires are awesome for the track - do we know about drag strip performance?

No apples and oranges. Dragstrip nt05r rear and 555r back. These are hard nittos are soft. R888 can do both but longevity is a question at the road course.

Michelin are best "street" tire, imo.  But a dedicated track tire like R888, or the 555/05 will be quicker on road course or dragstrip.

I purchased mine from discount tire. they are being shipped direct from michelin.

Thanks Chaz! See you Saturday night!

As to the 315's, I think anything above 28.4 is pushing it, and 27.8-28.1 is perfect.

peace,
Dave

I would not run a 335 width on a 11" rim, too wide a tire IMO.

Interested in any feedback from track (road course) guys who have run the Michelin Super Sports at the track.
- Performance compared to OEM or R888?
- Longevity compared to OEM or R888?
- Number of laps before getting greasy compared to OEM or R888?

Based on the above would the best combination for a 10"/11" set of rims the 285/35/20 front on 10's and 295/30/20 on rear 11"'s or would you guys simply do a 285/35/20 square setup on the 10" front and 11" rear (I think that would mean the sidewall would be stiffer in the rear because it is being "stretched more", which might not be a bad thing?  Or is there enough difference to justify the wider rear tire (295) as it is the same height (ie 0.2" off).  Sounds like the best for a 10/12 combo is the 285front / 335 rear

PS Discount tire locally or online, what was the pricing?

Based on the answer to my question above, just replace the fronts with the 285/35/20 and you should be perfect given that you have no miles on the 295's in the rear.

Right, if I can sell either the fronts or the rears then I can swap in the 285s in their place.   275 up front with 285s in the rear will work just fine as well..
