I'd hate to see a bunch of people show up only to learn that the car is delayed until August  :bounce:

I think the dealerships with later deliveries will be VERY anticlimactic.  I am excited for the new owners who will be receiving their cars as scheduled.

I remember when Mercedes-Benz would do a simultaneous nationwide roll out of a new model.  All their dealerships would invite VIPs and Mercedes customers for a special unveiling party--cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, music, the works.  It was a REAL fun time.  The media was typically there since it was a who's who affair asking people's opinion of the new car.  The dealership was also proud to recognize who the owner of the car was.  If anything, the fact that Mercedes-Benz made such a big deal about it certainly made the new owner feel special.

I told you it was July 7 for some people. It all comes down to region, as posted time and time again.

Can't wait to see photos!

I'd hate to think what the first GTR in LA would bring? Although, he'd be the "man" for a little while.

If someone here goes, please ask the owner to check if there is LC? (Just kidding)

Please take pics!

Universal City has the largest allocation in the US with 20+ cars. I attempted to pre-order from them, but their response was they were going to sell the car for "market value...put a deposit and we will call you when it gets here". I wonder if the are planning an auction? I heard from other dealers that Univerisal City was getting the first car and the dealer was going to charge well over sticker. For me, spare me the fanfair and give me MSRP.

So is this event taking place tonight? Is this the only dealer getting a GT-R until August? Does Nissan even know the answer to these questions?

It will be interesting to see how this works out.  Universal Nissan is one of the dealerships I called that, instead of an actual pre-order, wanted a deposit to have a chance to buy one at an undisclosed price.

I passed on the deal since they refused to disclose how much money I was agreeing to spend on the car with my deposit.

I wonder which customers name this first GT-R pre-order was actually ordered under.
