Just over 600 miles, according to the manual it recommends paddle shifting between 1st-4th gears and high revs. Does this mean not using 5th or 6th gear through 1200 miles???
Not necessarily. Most people follow the owners manual, I think overall just no hard accelerations/braking past the 1200 miles you should be fine. You can start to have higher rev's than your previous 600 miles.
I completely ignored the crap out of the break in. I figured a little Asian man was flooring this around the track as soon as it was assembled I'd be fine, 9,000 miles later I'm here with no prob lol
I thought of the same however took a bit more cautious approach.
Did a lot of 1-4 gear shifts and kept the revs quite high after 600 mi.
Did a lot of driving on highway too pushing the car in higher rev range between 3-6.
Got only about 1500 mi so can't say if it affects positively or negatively
But for you, you might have to watch out for those craters on the roads that peper the NY / NJ area.
