After extensive testing I'm proud to announce the very first completely Plug & Play Fuel Pump Hardwire Kit for the GTR.

This PNP Kit bypasses the factory voltage limitations on stock wiring by direct wiring fuel pumps to battery. It'll increase power output from 12V to battery voltage (14V+). With direct battery voltage your are now able to maximize the pumps flow, allowing for more head room on cars with injectors that are maxing out.

A not so well known issue with hard wiring upgraded fuel pumps is it can overrun your fuel pressure regulator at idle, causing your fuel pressure slowly to rise when it shouldn't. This kit solves that problem because it still allows the fuel pump controller to switch the primary pump from low, medium and high speed.

The kit comes in a carefully prepared two piece wiring harness. Relays and fuses are placed at the beginning of the harness so they can be close to the battery.

You literally connect the one end of the harness to the battery and the other connects to the fuel pump basket and factory engine harness.

Everything is plug and play so the kit can easily be uninstalled at any time - No more cutting the factory wiring harness!!

The kit can be purchased directly off my website - Here

For those interested I'll post up more pictures soon!

We make this kit in both Left hand and Right hand drive versions.

We also make a Fore Innovation 3 Pump wiring kit that keeps all OEM logic and prevents large fuel pressure spikes when activating the 3rd pump.

Here's a quick rundown:

You need to pull the plastic out from around the battery and carefully run my harness through the factory rubber grommet that allows access to inside the car.
You'll need to pull a few interior trim pieces out but it's fairly easy to run the harness to the back of the car.
Then you just pop the back seat off and get to the fuel pump harness that has two connectors.
You unplug the car harness from the top of the gas tank and plug it into my harness, then you plug my harness into the top of the gas tank.
You'll remove the seat belt bolt and place a ground that comes from my harness around that bolt
Then you just need to connect front of the harness to the battery.

During WOT conditions my kit bypasses part of the fuel pump controller, which will eventually causing DTCs.
You'll need to have your tuner disable those codes.

My long term goal is to make another kit that doesn't cause any DTCs but it's hard to get some of the connectors I need to make it completely Plug & Play.
Even then I don't know if the Fuel Pump Controller will be happy or if it can even supply the pumps with a solid 14v with better wiring.

What I do know is almost every week there's a few more cars that go under the knife because there's no plug & play solution. Half the time people aren't even wiring things up correctly and you still have to end up turn off DTCs. It's time we stop cutting up the harnesses in these cars!

I also make another version of this kit that uses a HOBB Switch to trigger the second fuel pump, I plan on doing a few more kits for some of the other popular aftermarket fuel pump systems.

Hope that helps

John

I haven't seen the AMS kit before but and seen people post about it. From what I read it's not a plug and play kit .. You need to cut wires and anything with a hobb switch removes the ecu from controlling the secondary fuel pump.

So the main difference - my kit is 100% complete and plug & play. You don't have to cut any wires.. No one likes cutting wires.

It's hard to comment on another kit that I've never seen before and that doesn't appear to be for sale anywhere on the internet.

But when you compare a non plug and play kit with a plug and play kit you can pretty much guarantee a price difference.

The hardest part about installing this kit is running the wire in the car - and that's pretty easy.

Shops normally charge at least 2 hours of labor plus parts to hardwire the fuel pumps and what they're doing can't be undone like a plug and play harness..Then you have to hope they found the right GTR Fourm thread that explains how to wire the pumps... I'm not joking.

Over the course of building this kit I spoke to several people about how they wire the pumps, and I found not everyone does it the same. I can't even begin to tell you how many cars I've been in that the pumps run the moment the key is turned on... it pisses me off.. your working on a 100k car and can't even take a moment to wire up the pumps "correctly" - yeah it works but it's not "right". I looked at all the popular online threads and quickly realized why some people were having problems so decided to stop looking at what people have done and start fresh.

This kit is a quick and easy solution for a lot of people, already have a few shops begging me for the kit

This takes a kit that most would probably pay labor to have installed....and makes it something you can do in your home garage with an hour of free time.

I think for not having to cut your factory harness, its WELL worth any additional expense.

This can be easily removed if you sold the car, with zero trace of it ever being there. (Allowing you to re-sell, something you can't do once you've hard wired your factory harness.)

$400 is a very fair deal and I wish you much success with this product. I'll be dialing your digits for many I feel confident, as there are LOTS of customers who have been asking if this sort of product exists.

How does this work with an aftermarket basket like Fore? I assume it shouldn't make a difference and work as expected, but I figure I ask for those of us that don't have OEM baskets anymore.

Couple questions: Is there something else we can ground it to besides the seatbelt bolt? In my case I have roll bar in that location. Bolt is way inside of the bar.
I have 2015 FBO Bosch 1050 injectors.
Will this cut down on my IDC? I think I am about at 95% maxed out.
