Huracan seems to be a popular next step after the GT-R, it definitely makes my list.  My ideal plan in ~3 years would be to keep the GT-R and do a build.  I've always wanted a 1000hp car, so it would be fun to just have something like that in the garage when you feel like scaring the crap out of yourself or running a roll race/half-mile event.  Having that in the stable along with my LS7 C5Z Vette, my ultimate dream (if finances were to allow) would be an exotic, but I'd probably veer more towards driving experience than all-out speed.  I'd LOVE something with a manual transmission and a screaming NA V8.  In the 100-200 range are some interesting choices.

- Gallardo 6spd - good value used, reliable.  Would just be a fun car to throw an exhaust on and rip around with

- F430 6spd - can't believe how much more they bring than the F1 gearbox cars!  Hard to justify 180k+ for the performance you get... but manual Ferrari! :)

- 458 Italia - not a manual, but it's my favorite looking Ferrari that isn't an F40

- Huracan LP-580-2 - seems like a good value new, would need to drive one

- McLaren 570s - cool car, just not sure if I love the appearance

- F355 Berlinetta 6spd - cheaper and slower by quite a bit than the other choices and apparently a nightmare to run.  I've always loved these cars since Sega's F355 Challenge arcade machine with the gated manual, but not sure I could deal with the hassle and ownership costs

- 2018 991.2 GT3 6spd - not truly an exotic, but more reliable/cheaper to maintain, and something I could really use and put miles on.  Also could be the best one to drive of the bunch

Who knows where I'll be in 3-4 years, but it's fun to dream. :)  At the same time, I try to always appreciate and fully enjoy my current cars and where I'm at today... which is already beyond what I ever imagined as a kid.

Next car is hopefully an R8 V10 Plus. That'll be in 6 years after retire from the Air Force. Then goal 4-6 years after that would be a Huracan. LoL.

Ditto! I'm way too old for this car, but I miss the Honda days.

McLaren 650S

Currently I own a GT-R and a Corvette (the new ones).  Being in Florida, I enjoy having one open top vehicle (Vette has a targa roof).  The McLaren 650S ticks all the boxes.  I thought about a Huracan but it's too similar to the GT-R being AWD, closed roof, and quick.  The Huracan as a vert looks awful and the McLaren has a hard top.  Plus, from everything I've read it's more of a driver's car and it pulls harder than a Huracan by a good amount.  The 720S just was revealed let's see how those 650S pricings drop and then I'll swoop in.  This is the color combo and carbon accents I want and may be doing it this summer.  Time will tell.

I too was leaning towards the McLaren. Not the Spider version, but definitely have to do the McLaren orange

i have my eyes on the Huracan 580-2... that car checks a lot of boxes in terms of what i need in my life lol. I'm not a hatch guy but I would love the new Civic Type R as well. I'd like to get into a V10 with the gated shifter as well but all of these would have to be in addition to the GTR... time will tell Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

A GT3 always appeals. For short trips/warm weather anyway. At some point continual refinement might give way to the new mid engine platform, "960"?

No way I'd do McLaren again. And hard to choose the 650 when the replacement is literally in sight. (I'm aware of the three tier McLaren line-up)

So--R36 or NSX 'R'

Failing that, one of the big dogs like R8, safe choice, if overpriced

Audi R8V10 Spyder......

Or yeah lol, the new Civic TypeR.... was at our Honda dealer a couple weekends ago and the owner made mention that he figures (guessing of course) the MSRP will be between $55-$60k Now for that kind of money - who could turn that down for a 300+hp go-cart! :)
