That review is a pander piece. He called the GTR sterile in comparison to a Turbo or M3. Having driven both, and owning a comp pack F80 M3, they are absolutely sterile. The GTR in comparison feels like an analogue dinosaur (meant to be complimentary). 


You can't spin making the new GTR heavier, softer, and slower as a tangible improvement. I will admit the new interior is nice, and styling looks cool, but that's not been the primary driver behind GTR sales. The proof is the sales are falling off a cliff, even with the new refresh.
