you know what, going by that video the PDK 911 looks as if its got the GT570 Kit beat as well.  how many lengths was that 10.
its obviously clear that Porsche was pissed with the introduction of the GTR and the way they targeted the 911.. its 1-1

Yeah, having a 911TT in the background of every spy photo of the GTR...  I am sure that would piss someone off.

the 2010 turbo is a big improvement over the previous years. its very tempting to get rid of our 07 997tt and get a PDK! they are beasts

I think this youtube channel is going to post videos showing tuned GTRs vs 997 turbo pdk too.  I do not think that this porsche can keep up with the HKS 570 GT-R. Maybe for the first few seconds but not all the way...

skyliner you maybe right but its hard to tell, if i had to bet on it i would pick the PDK by a lil.

Nico i have a 08 GT2 im thinking of trading in for the PDK. only because i miss the paddles for DD. Am i crazy? or should i just keep the car

the only thing is, do you think you'll miss the manual gearbox after awhile? the PDK will be a better daily driver no doubt, especially in new york. to be honest, that's a tough one. i think you should post over on 6speed and see what people have to say there. i dont think thats a crazy option either it just makes you think. i would dump the GT2 and get the PDK honestly. especially since the GT2 RS will be coming out and the facelifted GT2 is coming out as well. i personally get bothered when newer models come out :irock:

I base my opinion on the fact that PDK has a top speed of 195 mph.  An HKS GTR can reach 200 mph. It has to be faster from a certain speed and above.

Also, this channel (GTboard.com) features a race between two mildly tuned GTRs and the gap was pretty big. Cobb stage 2 vs Novidem... Time will show but I am pretty confident that a 600 hp GTR is actually faster than a 500 hp PDK!

997 GT2 and 997 Turbo PDK  have similar performance on paper.... beyond the 1/4 mile. However, there is a video in which the GT2 repeatedly eats the dust of PDK... It could be turbo lag or low revving rolling start, but the GT2 doesn't seem to catch up at higher speeds either.... Better power to weight ratio cannot beat the pdk tranny?  :irock:

Porsche HAD a better engine to start with...  The transmission was holding it back.  That issue has been resolved.  Competition is healthy.  I don't expect Nissan to sit back and watch either.

Rally should run from stop as GT-R will jump off the line faster as it did to the LFA.
Looks like the MASTER RACE car builders scooched it for the video. So how does it stand  on Ring time?

while i agree they should have done another race from a dig, i dont think it would have made any difference. GTR would probably keep up for a bit if anything but once they hit higher speeds the PDK will most likely pull away.

this only makes me anticipate the release of the 2012 GTR specs

That PDK with an ECU upgrade is possibly  a mid 10 sec car.
