Thought I share with my bigger, baby brothers my 350Z, VQ35DE engine build. Background; I traded in my '03 Evo 8 for an '03 350Z in Oct of '05. March of '08 I installed a JWT 700BB (GT28RS turbos) Twin Turbo kit with supporting mods. Love the car but after about a year was itching/regretting not building the block. Since than I've been telling friends that I going to build the engine and than a life event would happen and it would get pushed back. Well this past Dec '11, I finally placed the order from Kyle at Import Parts Pro for a custom Stage 3 long block. Car was towed over to PowerFab and the build has begun.

So apparently the Greddy Racing Ti-C exhaust is discontinued as well. So I've opted for the Greddy RS exhaust. Same 70mm piping and looks like same canisters. Only different is the exhaust tips are not burnt titanium. Which, to be honest, I prefer.

Why tt a 350 z OP? I have seen a few of them here and their performance is all that. A nice cammed I/H/E C5 or C6 would be pretty much the same.

Just wondering and goodluck on the build.

Because I own a 350z. I don't own a C6 and after working at a Vette shop I don't want one.

Thanks! Well hopefully you'll have that 2013 GT-R that I can see. I was really tossed up between selling my Z and buying a GTR or building it. It was financially smarter to build my VQ. Z's paid for and I know I wouldn't keep the GTR stock. So I'll keep it as my toy and find something else to daily.

It was pretty much the same situation for me and the STi, but I decided to get the GTR and keep it as stock as possible, but I know that won't last long :)

I gotta start getting into the Nissan/Infiniti scene, it would be a pleasure to meet you and your GTR/Z friends some day soon

Well with me working in Iraq right now its difficult to organize meets. However check out the Z Club of Houston as we would love to have some GT-R owners come out. Also check out www.HoustonPerformanceDriving.com (HPD). A lot of domestics but great guys! When Jim was still here, him & I talked a lot and were able to get more GT-R owners out with the Z group. Again with me being away it's difficult to get people together. Not to toot my own horn but I runs meets and cruises pretty well. Maybe we can start getting together and get the GT-R group and Z group together. Again, I'll be home in April for R&R and looking to get some more meet/cruise type stuff organized.

BTW: I would love a ride in the GT-R if you don't mind. I've ridden in a 2009 when they were released. Would love to see/feel the differences! Trade ya a ride in my Z. Deal?
