Yes sir! The V1.01 map for the LC4 and the V1.02 map for the LC5 have the limit set to 12 and VDC off launch enabled.

Joe

I'd like the option to have the VDC off launch disabled. I don't have 1000whp, so I don't think I'd benefit from it. Nor do I want others (mechanics or whom ever) having the ability to launch with VDC off.

Cobb offers two TCM tunes. One "stock style". It will only launch with VDC on. This is what you want CPUnlamd.

The second tune enables the car to launch with VDC off. Not what you want CPU.

I think you need to pull the trigger cpulamd. Get off the bench and install it already.

Well put. I have been sitting on the Cobb for a while now. I'll give it a few more weeks and see if everything pans out on this new Cobb LC4 set up. Given the doubled price on the NIS-006, you've got to convince me to pull the trigger on my stock GTR.

Quick question.......I picked up a Cobb AccessPORT and am purchasing a used 2010 GT-R in May.  I do not want to tune the car for increased power until the factory warranty expires however would love to have the improved drivability of the LC4.  Is it possible to do the LC4 and not have to install an increased power map during the process?

You will have to wait a long time for your warranty to expire then......

It has a 5 year powertrain.....

JUST DO IT!!

The 09-11 are WAY to slow stock!  With just the touch of a button you get 100 more HP!

Lol I can tell you are a bad influence!

I know it will be difficult to not just tune it but at this point I'm telling myself that I will resist.....will see how my self control truly is.

In the mean time do you know the answer to my question? :)

Can you guys explain the VDC "on" LC4? With my 2010, if I leave VDC on and in "R" mode and hammer it with 600AWHP, the wheel spin is too great and the traction control takes over and bogs everything down (yellow blinking TC light). With VDC off and LC2, it works great. Just curious as to how you can use LC4 with VDC on and not have the traction control completely ruin the launch?

I don't think you can.  At 600hp it seems you will need VDC off to launch.

Agreed, when I first tried LC4 with my mods and R888's I forgot to do anything and traction control kicked in, when I did VDC off it was smooth despite being 55 degrees out. I think the magic of LC4 is less wheel spin with VDC off, the true test for me will be to try in R mode on a warmer day.  Bottom line you don't need to have a 1000 hp to have a traction control issue so I would def install the one that allows you to turn it off.

I did about 10 lc5 runs with 561 awhp GTR on street and collected vbox numbers.  Data shows my Cobb level 1 launches are stronger as lc5 at 3800 and 4500 rpm have too much wheel spin and when it bogs down, seems different than Cobb level 1.  My 0-60 mph range from 2.7 to 3.0 s.

i plan to run lc4 this weekend at Carolina Motorsports Park.  Im going to watch the tranny temps very close but i dont forsee any problems.

if i do notice anything strange ill uninstall back to stock and run that

Temp Readings! Sounds Awesome! Keep us posted I am wondering the results. Hopefully the clutches dont over heat because of the new software or changes in the clutch settings? Id rather error on the safe side :) Around town I am not worried, but I have a road race tune for my 2010 and want to double check on this trans software as I do not drag race.

Why don't you try to bring down the rpms' on LC5 to about 4100 or lower and try it again?

I cannot use either LC4 or LC5 with VDC on.

It doesn't matter what map I am using. I could be using the valet 8psi map and VDC would still kick in the second I lift off the brake. It's not a boost thing. It's a clutch engagement issue.

It's that initial hard hit right when I lift that causes VDC to kick in.

Could you guys try this as well?

Put it in R mode and try to launch. Let us know exactly when the VDC engages.

It could have something to do with how the 2019-2011 VDC is calibrated vs the 2012+

Immediately engagement of traction control.  The initial hit hard hit seems harder than cobb level 1 launch
