I ordered a 2013 Black Edition and it will be ready this week.  Can anybody give me real world maintenance cost expectations if I will be using it as a daily driver - roughly 12,000 miles per year of aggressive street use?

Also is there anything you really wish you would have known BEFORE you brought it home?

I wish I would have known...................not to tell my wife how much my work at Switzer was costing.

Payback is a (by a) bitch. She can't stop thinking of things she "needs" now. For starters, how is another Louis Vuitton a "need"?

It cost me a couple of $k so far, and I'm at 23k miles.  I bought a shitload of consumables from a vendor here for $1.2k, and another $800 for a couple of service.
I only wished I had clearbra'ed the entire car, or at least the front.

No, but I wish I had clearbra'd the entire car.  The paint is soft!

If you don't mind me chiming in on this I picked up a set of Hawk pads for the GTR for 250 USD for fronts. If you don't track the car (none on Oahu) then its significantly cheaper than 6k for brakes. TIRES however.........its unavoidable to pay anything less than say......1800 for the time being unless you have some sort of inside hook up or use non run flats.

Tires are stand par for the course.  When I had my G35 they were $1700.  When I had my Z32TT they were around $1400.  So $1800 isn't too bad.  Based on my past cars my wife was guessing $1800-$2000 for tires.

What people forgot to tell you were the "hidden" costs....Mid-pipe, down pipe, intake, cobb etc :)  Luckily I haven't caught the mod bug yet, but I feel like I'm coming down with moditis. :D
