Yeah it would be very interesting to see the real world result between Cobb vs Ecutek on stock turbo cars
can ecutek beat the 'King' of stock turbo ?
(drum sounds).......

Congrats! car is making some great power!!!

But i see what Jack is saying about the hp gain from the stock baseline.

Here is my 2009 GTR stock vs tune only mustang dyno sheet which shows roughly 60hp gain over stock with tune only.

so If i would have cut my baseline dyno pull at 6.4k then ran my tune only pull all the way up to 7k it would have probably shown a total gain of roughly 80hp.

Regardless great job guys

Power wise Cobb vs EcuTek is up to the tuner to who makes more power, better track performance and better drive-ability.  Timing is timing, fuel is fuel and boost is boost.

That being said the ONLY thing HP wise ecutek does that Cobb does not is do Individual cylinder trims for fuel (using a factory map).  So lets say Number 2 and 6 are hot (Close to knocking), As a tuner I can calm those down and be more aggressive without knocking (or reducing the knock sensitivity).

Cobb has a much larger base of tuners to choose from, but ecutek has more end user features.

Excellent thread and discussion dudes. Perhaps we should have a "tuner shootout" at the dragstrip. We'll bring a stock 2012 or 2013 GT-R along with a handful of tuners. Each tuner will get three runs at the dragstrip and either their best pass will count or maybe the average of all 3. The car will be piloted by the same driver and coolant/oil/trans temps will all be closely monitored. Would be pretty cool.

Didn't Bill go quicker with his tune at the 1/8 mile track? I know he mentioned on Nagtroc he cut a 1.46 60', but I don't recall what the ET and MPH was?

I went 10.17 at 134.18 with your tune in -80 DA with the catback on

The best weather we have had since I have had ecutek was +600DA and it went 10.11 with the catback off and seat out, I posted the slip on another post.

When you are maxing out the stock turbos, not a whole lot of power on the table.  Most of it is launch.

I posted the slip of my 10.11 in my other thread, my only 6.49 1/8 mile.

Gonna run Javier on Sunday with his catback off, think that will be more fun, and line up at the track heads up

Come on John.

You know as well as I that these cars are very even when maxed out.  Getting the hit and the race is over.  I also will have my V-Box for 60-130 data, that to me will tell a better story of who makes more power on that day on that road.
