Just in, a new exclusive through Boost Logic on a new 16 Disc Carbon Clutch Pack made in the United Kingdom by Severn Valley Motorsports!

Price will be posted in the next couple of days but will be around $3000 cheaper than the PROMAX

SVM have had fantastic results from this set up..yes the plates are higher friction based, being actually wider and made from carbon,we have even tested back to back against promax 19plate systems, that use thinner and narrower plates,The promax is over 3k more !!!

SVM have had them back to back tested against two 19 plate promax,two 14 gtc and two 16 plate GTC pac's.

The route SVM have chosen, is to make a multi plate system using oem thickness plates, wider and made of carbon composite material, Unfortunately in practice getting 16 larger sized plates to fit,requires some clever engineering.

interesting... however doesn't the promax work in a 1600whp/1000+ft/lbs gtr just fine? while no one knows the whp from the svm cars.

are you suggesting this is a step below the promax but higher than the sportsman?

or can we see 1000+ ft/lbs torque dyno chart on say a mustang dyno without inflating the numbers?

just trying to get the facts rather than marketing. i haven't seen any legit dyno # from svm builds... dunno what power they are putting out (9.4 in the 1/4 is not slow but its not mid or low 8's).

i would think the larger surface area discs would keep its power handeling capabilities near the promax..  I dont know for certain hopefully he will chime in.. Im about to purchase a stage 2.5 8 disc upgrade on my car, but almost thinking i may want to test this setup out.

I notice you say 3000 dollars cheaper then the promax, but i do not see images of replacement pistons?!   Which i know dodson pistons can be pretty expensive as well and come in the promax setup.   Does this setup include pistons?

Its a good thought to think this will fill the gap between the sport and promax with less of a price BUT we will 100% test them to their max potential before this is released to the public. We will then show proof as to what this will actually handle. Will have more facts on monday for this project.

Good question about the piston, they did not mention anything about the piston so I will touch base with them as its late UK time and also guess there is a holiday going on in the UK.

I will try and fill all question on monday about this project as i know for a fact its right around the corner.

Ultimately SVM is trying to support power as strong or more than promax at little more realistic cost.

It's missing the Alloy outer cage and the piston seals for life as I see it now. Perhaps there are more photos, but that alone could account for a large part of the cost on the units.

yea i believe the pistons are like 13-1500 each.. so thats 3000 right there.

These baskets are made in UK by some very clever Motorsport gearbox specialists. There are a good few transmission engineering companies in UK inc Ricardo, xtract, quaife, AP racing etc...

The larger baskets will accept an extra 2 frictions at oem thickness over the oem baskets which can take max 6 frictions at 2.28mm or max 8 if you go thinner

similar with these you can go thinner frictions to add in a 9th or 10th friction, so a few different combos to be tested out. currently all the UK big builds have been running the gtc/svm 7 or 8 plate holding 800ft+ with 156 terminals in the 1/4. But the more dragging you do the further the oem baskets get worn/smashed so a need for these billet

generally carbon/graphite isn't used in wet clutch but lets test and see, kevlar and paper Borgwarner approved material frictions also available to find best set up, but we have a ton of data and contacts with borgwarner techincal partners inc Lubrizol.

You must have missed the first post. All parts made in UK. there are a good few excellent industrial and motorsport friction plate manufacturers in UK. In early pic is just one sample of a number with different pattern/material
