Hi:

So confused! I was researching all the generations to the Big Bang when God created the Prince Skyline ALSI series and stumbled on the introduction of the Infinity G35 at the 11th and 12th generation of the evolution of sentient beings as we understand them. WTF? I don't get it. Is the Infinity G35 (introduced after the R34) a "Skyline"? Is it accepted as such in Godzilla's parish? Is it any good? Do people modify it like the Skylines from C10 to the GT-R R35s? Here is the evolution of God's universe as I understand it. Can you all weigh in? Also, what the heck is a V36??? Is this just wrong? I got this data from a credible site.

1st Gen. (1957 - 63): Prince Skyline ALSI-Series
2nd Generation (1963 - 68): Prince Skyline S50-Series
3rd Generation (1968 - 72): Nissan Skyline C10-Series
4th Generation (1972 - 77): Nissan Skyline C110-Series
5th Generation (1977 - 81): Nissan Skyline C211
6th Generation (1981 - 85): Nissan Skyline R30-Series
7th Generation (1985 - 92): Nissan Skyline R31-Series
8th Generation (1989 - 94): Nissan Skyline R32-Series
9th Generation (1993 - 98): Nissan Skyline R33-Series
10th Generation (1998 - 2002): Nissan Skyline R34-Series
11th Generation (2001 - 2007): Nissan Skyline V35-Series / Infiniti G35

12th Generation (2006 - now): V36 Nissan Skyline / Infiniti G / R35 GT-R

It split into its own brand a few years before the R35 was launched but is still called a skyline in japan. It's an infiniti outside do japan. The car is built on the same chassis as the Z cars and is more in line with the Z than the GTR. A few years ago nissan developed a 3.0 turbo engine for it that replaced the VQ series engine. It's even labeled VR and will be the basis for the new Z in a couple years

The current skyline known as the 400R in japan or infiniti Q60 is a decent car. It has 400hp but It's considered to fall behind in performance vs similar competitors

Aftermarket uses many of the same performance parts as the Z and there is a decent aftermarket scene for them I guess.

The skyline recently got a facelift in japan to make it look more like the GTR in the front. The infiniti version did not get this change
