Looks like there is a GT-R registered to run One Lap. The drivers look like the writer and photographer for Car and Driver, maybe it's a C&D car.

Hmm, Car and Driver, hard for me to take them seriously as of late. Same thing with most any other establishment american car magazine, if I want GM advertising Ill goto a GM dealership.

Nice! Hopefully this happens.

Would be very cool to see a GT-R compete in the One Lap.

I agree!

I think the only way the GT-R which is essentially a new kid on the block ( at least in this country ) is going to establish it’s creed an get the respect of the racing community is by showing what it can do on a track!

Well, if a GT-R is going to be there, I'll make a little trip to Carolina Motorsports track on May 7th. I'll give you a first hand report on whats going on.

Corvettes and Porsches often win the One Lap event. This ought to be interesting provided the GT-R drivers hang with it.

Nice. Looking forward to following the news for this event. Too bad there is nothing remotely close to me. Would be nice to see the GT-R running in one of these events.

Looks like the drivers will be Tony Swan and Mary Seelhorst. The GT-R will be running in the SSGT1 Big Bore class. This includes Porsche 911, Viper, Corvette Z06, Ultima GTR, Ford GT, and a Mongoose GTP. Definitely going Wednesday. I will try and take pics and video. Spectators are fine at CMP and cost will be $5 each.

Why, the GT-R is the only stock car up there.

Why ? Did you get the thing earlier, pro drivers in pro cars win this event. The guy driving, hes a magazine editor. If he could make money racing cars, thats what he would be doing, not writing about doing it.

Most people have no real concept of a fast car with a fast driver. You seem to be one of them.

Also incase you missed it, the Dodge Challenger hit a solid object. Someone was trying hard.
