Sorry if I am a moron and the answer to my ?s are here somewhere...
I am considering getting a gtr and debating between new 14 or used 13 and found a very clean "looking" 13.

So now how do I get the FLICKR report off of a used car at a non Nissan dealer and how can I tell if the car was broken in according to Nissan's procedure?

Thanks in advance!

Question 1: take it to a Nissan dealer.
Question 2: you can't.
Good luck in your search.

Great buyers guide. I wish there was something like this available, with as much detail, when I was looking for the Porsche that I currently own. Newbie question, and this seemed like the appropriate place to ask as I searched and could find the answer: Does a dealer have the ability to print out a report that shows the number of launches and over revs? Thanks,

Welcome  Unfortunately, there is no standard report. But, dealers can give you an idea on prior history on launching although not on revving like with Porsches. On the flip side, you can't over-rev a GT-R as you could with a typical m/t car. All in all though, I'd recommend looking for the right car (year/trim/modded or not/etc) first and foremost as the number of launches is not a big concern with most GT-Rs anymore.

Excellent write up. The design philosophy of the GT-R is the key to its dominance and success; and ultimately it's cult following and my purchasing of one. Philosophy is something we Americans are all too quick too ignore, at our own expense, in multiple arenas. The comments on the typical American consumer and the majority of the aftermarket community are spot-on, as can be seen by the initial transmission failures and creation of unsorted, high horsepower monstrosities of all types. Having been involved in several custom builds of my own cars, it was quite difficult to find a builder who looked at the car as a whole, requiring all elements to work together in harmony, and not independently by just putting on high-priced aftermarket bits. It took a significant amount of planning (at least a year) and working with suppliers who were willing to make the necessary changes to the parts.

Perhaps a new type of aftermarket shop is needed in the US, especially for vehicles like the GT-R.

Is there a reliable source for the list (msrp) prices and how they've changed per year?

And invoice prices?

Is there a reason the site doesn't have an https login?  I've tried using https, but it doesn't work. so i'm just assuming there isn't one.
