While it truly is monumental to see a GTR get into 6s, part of me wants to see a true "street" GTR - as in mostly full weight, with full interior, and things like power steering and AC - get there.
Don't mean to take anything away from Alpha G's incredible achievement, yet it is a purpose built, gutted race car, with no interior to speak of, lexan all around, and faux headlights.
Super bummed ETS didn't get their 6 sec pass.
I agree truly amazing accomplishment and well deserved in light of all the blood, sweat, and tears that went into getting there. However, the car really only is a street car in the sense that it once rolled off of a factory assembly line for street use.
Would be cool to see something like an import drag week where all the cars need to be registered and reliable enough to put hundreds of road miles between tracks. Now it is likely that a gtr or any awd/modern road car for that matter can't be built reliably enough to compete at that level but it would be awesome if so. Bet it could be done in the low to mid 7s but not in the 6s.
