When I release any product I make sure it's the best quality and will never break. I designed this trans upgrade so you can launch the car at every light.
I have a GTR too, and want the peace of mind that the trans will not break.
Non of my GTR Products come with a GTR TAX lol...

could you clarify a little more about what this (these) upgrade(s) consist of?

I have a set of his bearings.

You guys are going to need one of these to blank out all of those gear sets.

How much time do you think it will take to replace the gears, or are you going to do something like need our transmissions shipped so you replace the gears? Also, are you changing gear ratios?

ok.... just spoke with ralph (he sounds a little busy).

my take of the conversation:

he's trying to minimize downtime...

hardening the gears (for now 1-4, but later perhaps 1-6)

doing the same for the clutches

and adding the bearings he's already made for a complete package.

might be easier to just ship the gears and clutches to minimize downtime, and to avoid unnecessary shipping of the entire transmission.

he's done this for other vehicles, same formula, different car... should eliminate all of the weak points of the transmission.

and he'll be releasing packages and pricing soon.

please correct me if i misspoke.

Here is a thought!

has anyone looked into what may be causing the gear teeth to crack/shatter? I doubt the manufacturing process/strength of those gears are entirely to blame!
Something else maybe to blame and the end result is affecting the gears ability to withstand it.
From my experience in drag racing, any type of "play" in the driveline(engine movement/tranny movement/rear end movement) will result in that "weak-link" breaking prematurely.
It maybe that the bushings on the engine/trans mounts are insufficient and simply replacing them with a stronger type(metal/urethane), may prove to be cost effective vs replacing the gears that are affected from it.

Thats fu*king sweet. I wasn't saying that you don't make top quality products, I just wanted to know how far the tranny upgrade can taken, and launching at every light sounds good to me! I can't wait.

I think the fact that it's an overweight car has a lot to do with it...

so if the car weighed 500 lbs less, then the transmission would be just fine???

to a point, i agree (but probably not for the same reason). if the car was lighter, it would be more susceptible to wheel spin, and that would be easier on the transmission...

but because it's heavier, traction is more likely (on top of the awd system), and that makes more strain on the transmission... not just because it's heavier, but because there is traction at every point.

hell no it wouldn't be just fine, I'm just saying if the car was lighter, it would help by taking taking a little strain off of the tranny when it tries to move such a fat ass car so suddenly (during a launch).

I'm not sure why its called "over-weight" or "fat-assed". What are you comparing it to? A Corvette? A 911? They're tiny. It weighs the same as a Shelby GT500. And it powers all four wheels.
Maybe it is overweight for a track car but it still KICKS ASS on the track. Funny, that. :lmfao:

I'll super size that while I'm at it. Add me to the list. Don't forget the easy 5 step installation sheet and national list of shops who have been factory trained to do this :lmfao:

Okay I might be dreaming a bit.. but this is a good new topic, keep up the good work.

... my cousin is overweight, we all know he is, but we still love him. He's not as fat as Neal E. Boyd, but fatter than Jackie Chan, probably weighs as much as Uncle Phil, doesn't mean he won't woop an ass
