Question for everyone, I'm in the process of looking for a GTR, Black Edt. 2015 and I found a 2014 track edt. too?  I know there were some updated changes to gtr's from 2014 to 2015. My question would be is the track edition car a better gtr value wise?  As in it would hold its value better even though it's a year older as there were not many track editions made?

I am not a fan of the track edition in 14. The interior alone is a huge step down from the BE. It needs mods to truly be tracked and the suspension is rough riding compared to a 15 BE. If this is a street car especially, go BE. Just one person’s opinion.

I wouldn't own anything but a performance version....But then again I use them at the track.

I would lean towards the 15 BE with the revisions. Nothing too special about the track editionIMO

Value wise no base or luxury sports car or muscle car holds its value over the performance models.....They're common.

Just hard to find a 15 black edition and I found a very low mile track edition, I may go with the track edition. I have already owned a premium.

I will go with a track edition, 15s are too soft and floaty.
Just swapped out my suspension from my 15 to a nismo one.

I put a DSC sport controller in my TE.

It softened the ride in town in comfort mode.It was a little harsh on rough pavement and the controller made it even better at the track.

Plus it made the suspension and traction control tables tunable.

I've seen a few Porsche guys run them on their daily driven track cars.

Just watch out for 14 Track Packs that are missing the factory front spoiler.I'm not sure if people sell them to get a higher resale value before trade in or they wreck them.

That front spoiler-lip is a wanted piece and is made by Challenge and the car won't be worth as much without that factory lip.

I removed mine to save it and put a N Tune Nismo style ducted front spoiler made by EPI motoring.

The initial impression of the blue/gray color combo of the TE seats remind me of a poorly done Kragen auto parts special trim. Over time it looks even worse. I just feel the BE Recaros are a much more timeless look which was carried into the refreshed TE. On the positive side, the track pack front lip, firmer suspension, and the TE itself is more exclusive due to its limited production numbers, if it's your cup of tea that is.

Here is a crazy price for that Track Pack front lip...$10,535.00

I think they were $6000.00 OEM replacement part when the car was new.

I agree... if TE had a better interior color combo, it would definitely be more sought out.

BE gets my vote.

If you plan to keep it stock in regards to track mods then i would go with track edition.

If you plan to mod it more to make it better for track, I would go with BE as you would save the money and use same amount on suspension, brakes, cooling etc.

Same would go for the nismo. Using that extra money for the nismo on a BE would make it superior on track.
