Is Nissan out of its trucking mind?

TE is priced same as original 2015 Nismo, but sans all the carbon crash parts... there goes my hope of a commute-friendly “Nismo lite”.

The Nismo better go sub 7’s at the ring for that kind of money.

doubtful because thats 8-9 secs faster than the N attack which was lighter  better aero specialized Diffs and most important a customized suspension set up just for that track..  the 2020 has CCM brakes and presumably better tires though  than the N attack

Sad to see this actually. No offense as I love this platform, but they are pricing it into supercar territory and I still don’t believe a single stock Nismo has cracked the 10 second barrier. Just continues to get heavier, slower and more expensive. Recipe for disaster for this platform. Disaster - 4dr M5 sticker is 110k and it will out drag it and out track it and it’s 600 lbs heavier. Side note - means that Nismo Nexus has is a steal.
TSM Billet Crank 4.1 w/ CP billet pistons, TSM Elite Prime turbos, TSM Wet Sump Oling upgrade, flex fuel, ETS mid and down pipe, STM titanium axle back, STM race FMIC, ID2000s, Shep One K with drop gears and all the goodies., DS Axles, Volk Saga 18 10/12 (MT ET Streets), Advan GT Premium 20 R888. 1450+ hp / 1210+ tq

Old setups : Alpha 9 w/ AMS 3.8, GTX3582R Gen II w/ AMS 4.1 billet crank, GTX3582R Gen II w/ AMS 4.0 big bore billet crank and of course FBO E85.

I ran multiple [email protected] when I first got mine bone stock with just decent 60fts. not sure who else did though.     my car definitely had mid 10.8s in it because I was getting 6.8s  at the 1/8 mile track  with high 1.5 60s due to much better prep and cooler time of the year.  but yeah 11 is about what I saw most at not up to par with current elite super cars that cost  low 200k

Damn stand corrected. I remember back in the day you were running 11.0-11.1 and that is when I said I would ship you my rear 18 inch Volks. Still though the M5 magazines tested at 10.8 and Atto has seen cars tip 10.5 in low DA. Edit - the simple fact I am comparing a 4door is blasphemy. A slightly used Huracan is cheaper. Completely siloed marketing and sales team and an incredibly aged platform (Stock). Why the 17,18,19 have not sold and looks like the base price of the 20 also increases. Absolutely tone deaf Nissan.

yup I remember that.  I havent tried any runs since I added the NISMO midpipe. I would like to get a 10.8 slip though maybe in fall weather one day.  I guess I will have plenty of time now as I was thinking about a 2020 but that price is just insane not to mention I have no real way to value my car currently.

+1 think your just a set of R888s away from a mid to low 10 honestly.

it would be interesting. I would guess 7:10ish maybe because  back in the day Micheal Krumm hinted the non N attack original 2015 NISMO was about a 7:14-15 sec car

Great! It will keep the cost of older GTR's high! This is a great thing to see!

Yea, I'm glad I bought my TE already.  $150k.  Jeez.  But, the upgrades are nice, but not sure if they are $15k nice.

Agree.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a handsome and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in your GTR, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming………."WOW!! What a Ride!
