Looks cool. Not sure about 20 rocket switches separating the passenger. Seems homie but I was just telling my son 0-60 in the 2’s with under 500 hp. Means 10.8-11.2. Imagine it with 750. Still kicking myself I didn’t buy a demon lol

Yeah base price was announced to start under 60k. My guess is a well equipped 70k Z51 car might have a quicker lap than the 214k NISMO on motor trends best drivers car later this year unfortunately

Impressive car. They will sell a ton of these at those prices. Curious as to how much the prices on the existing C7 plummet sitting on dealers lots.

Without a doubt going the vette direction. The only thing that would deter me is that literally everyone will have one. Spec wise this is what I was hoping the Supra would be. The rear is a  little ugly to me and that button strip is odd but the performance specs and quality for the price is amazing. There's an event in early August at a nearby vette dealership I'm pumped for.

C8 doesn’t even resemble a vette anymore. Looks like an exotic car! Can’t wait to see them on the streets! I bet it will have the performance and handling to go with the looks. I need more garage space...

I had to come over for some piece of mind. They are going bat shit crazy on the Vette forums.  smh.  For some reason, they are only hearing 2 things.  Under $60k and 0-60 under 3.  They think they are going to walk into the dealerships, buy a base mode and drag the GTR.  smh.

I will wait for the Z06.  But so far, it's meh.  Was expecting more honestly.  I think they have nice options right now.  Better aero packages for sure are on the option list.

The Hipo model should be close to 800  HP.  AWD.  If it is, I might bite.  Esp if it's around $120k.

It's a hell of a car. Major probs to Gm. But the BASE price is probably 59k. In order to do 0-60 under 3 sec it's going to cost more, would they option the performance pkg be 10k+ add on? Not sure yet until more is release.

Remember the only reason everyone doesn’t have a GTR is because of the pricing strategy Nissan took. Direct correlation of yearly sales vs price increases. These things were cheap in 08 compared to today. I’m happy to see this come about. I’ll get one as well as the wide body 4dr Charger Hellcat.

^ This.  Not a big deal in small markets, but they'll be everywhere in major cities.  And just wait til they start showing up on rental car lots.

Maybe drag race is not the end of all?  The car is likely going to handle better than the GTR, so this is possibly 2009 all over again, except this time GM is raising the benchmark for super-car performance at a relatively affordable price.

Chevy just did what the GTr did back in 08. Complete game changer. I am not a Vette fan by any means but this is definitely one hell of car. Hats off to Chevy for delivering on all there promises Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

"2020 GTR: new rims" that's so hilarious. I love my GTR and I'm about to get a 4runner. The funny thing is they are both riding a decade long platform. The new vette are sweet, I give Chevy tons of credit for able to evolve and not jacked the price up. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

One of the attractions to me of the GT-R (I've owned two) is that it was something you didn't see every Tom, Dick, and Harry driving down the road, like Mustangs, Camaros, etc. I can literally go weeks, if not months, and not see another GT-R. For the 2020 Corvette C8, I am very, very impressed with the performance. However, even at the expected real cost to buy one (starting just below $60K but probably in the $70K to $80K range after selected upgrades), here in Florida I will see them all the time. It is also the same thing with Porsches. I currently own an '18 Cadillac ATS-V Championship Edition. Mid 3's 0-60, 12 tics in the 1/4 at 117mph, not bad. Also, only 200 vehicles were produced and that included the CTS-V Championship Edition. Not only do I rarely see the ATS-V itself, but I've never seen another Championship Edition. So this is my concern with the C8 Corvette, I'll see one every day back and forth to work.
