They pack a punch for sure, same drivetrain as the M5. Stock M8 will hang with if not faster than a stock GTR, a tune will put it into mid 10s most likely. Very heavy tho

Not bad for the M8 - funny the Tesla would have wiped both of em up though - 4 out of 4. Just a JB4 tune should put it at 10.3-10.5 @ 135 ish - same as M5 or X3M. New AWD M3 is going to be a game changer for bimmer. The modded GT500 isnât bad at 5.35 60-130. Funny how slow they all look hahaha

They raced 17 gtr against a competition M5 and the M5 won both times and also beat it from a roll. The M5 stock has hit 10s with a tune and FBO could break high 9s. Thats already a game changer!

My X5M has bested two stock GTRs on the street - 2017 and 2018. I ran 11.1-11.2 @ 126+ with just a JB4 and you want to talk about heavy lol - 5,500+ lbs with driver. Physics starts to weigh in (pardon the pun) on 60-130 at 9 seconds hahah Also taken out plenty of C7s and Hellcats while getting the groceries. Wife drives it even harder than I do lmao. She’s either wot or coasting.

That M8 is impressive.  It launches much better than the mustang.  But when they go somewhat together, the mustang hp is too much for the BMW.  But on the street, that BMW will win almost everytime.

I do like that Mustang blue color.

Remember too these things have max tq at like 2200 lol - atleast the gearing in the X5M allows for it.

^ in all fairness the GTR was not using launch control as evidenced by 2.19 60’ the M5 may not have been either at 1.9. My X5M lays down 1.7 all day at a your average redlight.

they did 3 tests . 1 without LC for both cars , 1 with LC and 60km [ 37mph] roll .

dig race without LC  at 13 min 20sec into video

dig run with LC is at 17min:10sec into video

roll is at 20min50sec into video ,

Two I watched must have been without. I’ll rewatch when I get the chance. Stock for stock both 11.20 cars so whomever jumps first wins. Bet my X5M would walk them both if I catch the light ;)
