So I have been in contact once again with a shop who does titanium exhaust and intercooler work. If you guys were apart of my last group buy, the 12 volt remote starter, you know I wouldnt come here unless its worth your time.
I previously bought a set of titanium downpipes from this company and figured Id roll the dice as Ive not heard a lot of reviews from them.
Went to a shop that builds 2000+ hp gtrs like its cool, had them install the downpipes with a lot of hesitation. They contacted me about an hour or 2 into the work and said, I cant believe it but they fit like oem.
Long story short I asked about making intercooler and intercooler piping for the group at a discounted rate. And this is their deal
To give a ballpark figure - a comparable ETS / Alpha / Agency Power - we can produce it of the same material and quality for 1/2 or 1/3 the price.
Intercooler for a GT-R should be $600, using the highest density intercooler core with all aluminum end tanks and hand tig welds.
Intercooler Piping Kit - comparable to ETS / Agency Power - It should be 1/2 to 1/3, around $500.
Production will require a run of 30 to 50 sets minimum. If you can get 15 owners committed to purchase, then we know there's a demand for this.
So what I would need to know, who here would be down to buy an intercooler and or intercooler piping at those prices. Their work is legit, they even manufacture exhausts for lamborghinis.

Core size 22" x 9" x 4", with 36 charge rows - Similar to products available on the market today for $1900+
We have been making heat exchangers for Mercedes AMG cars for well over 10 years. I am on the product sourcing team and have first hand knowledge and experience about intercooler and heat exchangers.
I can tell you that many of the well known US brands/companies source their cores from overseas, as we do, and finish their end tanks welding here in the USA and market the product as Made in the USA.
If the end tanks are cast, those castings also come from overseas.
Each core is pressure tested to 50psi. The core size and density can handle 1000hp.
As for specific size, core spec, and other features - We are open to owners' ideas and suggestions....We want to bring out a product that GT-R owners want to buy at a price point that makes sense to you

Would be cool if they could do a price with a Garrett core, specifically 848054-6003 (22" x 14" x 4.5").
We can do that size, and make 30 sets on first production run.
But I need 15 people committed to purchase.
