Slightly off topic but somewhat related, does anyone have a current newer ('18+) 370Z, preferrably a NISMO? I'm just wondering how it is going from a GT-R to 370Z, or similar in performance vehicles? I'm in the market for another car, and based upon me having owed two GT-R's in the past (as well as what you see in my sig) I'm wondering if the 370Z would be too much of a disappointment. I admit I like the style and appearance of the 370Z NISMO.

I’ve driven the 370Z Nismo that my dealer had.

Once you get passed the truth that nothing else in Nissan’s line up compares to Gdzilla... it’s a great car to drive.

With less hp than your Caddy.. hmmm I’m not sure it will impress you.

Take one for a rip...

It's interesting that the video showing the various Nissan cars does NOT have the GTR.  It seems to be excluded.

If that thing has 500 HP like I have heard, it will be a screamer.

i  think the base car will have 400 as that is what the Q60 makes and its gonna use same engine and transmission.  NISMO could be closer to 500.  thats the one I want

this image shows the rumor of  300ZX  style rear with lights seems true.   I see the Z  badge like the old school cars on the rear  fender with a chome accent strip.   roof line and window shape look the same as the 370z to me.   This is probably still the  basically  same 370z chassis the current Q60 also rides on  underneath everything.

I have a potential buyer for my ATS-V but not sure if I should just get a "lesser" vehicle as a DD and wait until next year when the used C8 market comes down to earth, hold onto the ATS-V until then, or sell the ATS-V and get a used GT-R.

For the last 2 generations of Z...  Has the NISMO really been THAT much better?

I few things here and there, some red trim, unique badging, etc...  I guess, I'm not optimistic that the NISMO Z will have 500HP.  If it has 420HP (assuming base at 400HP), that would fall inline with my expectations.  Not just a body kit, brakes that don't improve performance, different seats/appointments, and 37 pieces of red flare...

for the 350z  yes it had some cool stuff like Yamaha chassis dampers and a super GT inspired Aero kit ect.

the 370z version wasnt as special in my opinion it kept the  bodykit and a little more power. the  2nd gen 370z version  got a tamer body kit and lost the big wing they were known for.

500  probably isnt  realistic  so the emphasis would be on my closer to  part lol.     the NISMO could be like a  "450Z NISMO" or something.  bodykit nice seats wheels ect

Im super excited about it    ive got the credentials to back it up lol as  here is me  on my moms Z

before the GTR  I got my start in the Z world  and between my mom and dad we have had one of every gen except the 370z.   as  crazy involved as ive been with the GTR since like 2008.   I was just as much with the Z from like 2002-2008.

here was my 2007 NISMO.  it was serial  #33.  only had it like 7 months. only car ive ever regretted selling as I wish I had it to just kick around town in these days

the other car is my  2003 Z i did all the S-tune NISMO stuff on

MC, I just saw in your sig that you own a '17 Sentra NISMO. How do you like that? I've wondered as well about the 370Z NISMO and the Juke NISMO (and RS?).

I think, it looks more like 280ZX. That could be nice retro styling. I still love Z. Sold 3 weeks before buying GT-R.

its not a bad daily to be honest.  I drive it probably 99% everywhere I go these days.  cool styling at least to me and I just think its neat it matches the GTR with the same DRLs and mirror stripes ect.   pretty bare bones inside but the seats are. nice engine and power is the same as the SR so just the 188hp.   street handling isnt bad for what it is steering was tweaked for the NISMO  version.  dont mind the CVT like some do its the same that was in the Juke.

I had a 2015 NISMO Juke RS AWD   I actually liked car too  no complaints until about 30K miles on it and  started to have some issues.   had front  diff fluid leak and then a whining sound that I think was a  turbo bearing going bad. thats how I ended up with the Sentra  I traded it into carmax before it  went bad and they had a NISMO Sentra. so I paid about difference of $5K to swap into one  that had under 9K miles on it last year. will probably trade it in on the  new Z hopefully next year

big selling point on the  JUKE RS  and the 370Z  NISMO are the recaro  NISMO seats.  those things were a overkill especially int the Juke.  arguably nicer than the GTR seats

Wow, that's quite a testament about the Sentra NISMO, coming from a GT-R NISMO owner! I can see the marketing tagline:  "What Does a GT-R NISMO Driver Use as Their Everyday Transportation? A Sentra NISMO!"

saw this render of the Z based on the  silhouette teaser.

they used the GTR wheels but the front and overall shape match pretty much what was shown

front kinda looks like an aston martin with a little bit of F type
