Hey guys,

Took my car out to  drag strip to put down  some times for the second time  and  didn't get the results I was hoping for. I know a lot of folks with similar mods as mine are pulling way better numbers as I read through the forums. The car is pretty much flex fuel tuned FBO with slightly upgraded turbos over stock.

I did manage to log my first pass on Cobb and have attached the log to this post.

Conditions:
  • Tire: R888's with 24 psi all four corners
  • RCR mode
  • launch rpm: 4100
  • running a mix of e98 and 94 pump gas with ethanol content around e40

First pass:
1/4: 10.987
MPH: 128.79
60 ft: 1.857
1/8: 7.210

Second pass:
1/4: 10.979
MPH: 134.31
60 ft: 1.812
1/8: 7.238

Here are the mods:
  • stock motor
  • stock transmission
  • Cobb tuned
  • Turbos:
    • upgraded custom turbos that basically have bigger housing to allow for more flow
    • Turbosmart wastegate actuators
    • Tial BOV's
    • ETS Street Intercooler
  • Fuel:
    • 3-Bar Map Sensor
    • Speed Density Conversion Kit
    • 1D1300 Injectors
    • Twin  DW300 Fuel Pumps
    • Hardwired, relayed pumps
  • SBD downpipes
  • GTHaus non-resonated mid pipe
  • HKS Legamax catback
  • SB intakes
  • Tire setup: Rohana 20 inch wheels with R888's [285 front, 325 rear]

I am thinking the car needs a re-tune but any advice is appreciated please!

Thank you in advance.

Get your E content up. Most ramping tables max at 70-75% if you are in a flex tune. If you are tuned for E 40 then higher E will do nothing. I cut better 60' on the street on 300 treadwear tires. Play with tire pressures and launch rpm. Make sure your clutch isn't slipping.

A couple things I noticed from your log... is your content goes from E40 to E30 by the end of log and your car seems to have a 28lb boost spike in the end of 4th gear. Im not a tuner but i would ask my tuner why if it was my car.

Since you're using Celsius for temperature in your other thread, I'm assuming you're overseas. Is 94 octane RON or AKI?

Steve at SJL did the turbos for me. Very familiar with his shop.
