Hmmmn...I started with PPF and ceramic coating j/k..no really....I just got over 1k and have yet to experience "full power"...I know the old heads on the forum say launch it..."its driven hard prior to leaving the factory"..At the factory its Nissan Factory workers (experts) problem if some thing goes wrong..With me its the local tech...I'll wait...Good luck OP...Old heads= length of GT-R ownership not actual age.. Don't want to hurt any feelings

Mid pipe , 2.75 intakes plenty fast and you still have warranty. You put a tune on it and your powertrain warranty is gone
Good advice, if you aren't planning on tuning.

Fixed Bolt-ons (FBO) List:

1) EcuTek tune

2) Upgrade Midpipe

3) 3" Intakes

4) Upgrade Injectors (go with 1300cc if plans for Flex Fuel or turbo upgrade later - buy once, cry once)

5) Catless Downpipes

6) Flex Fuel Kit + upgraded E-85 capable fuel pumps

7) Upgrade Front Mount Intercooler (go with a Race FMIC instead of a Street one)

How much? Wait for warranty to expire, or why wait?

Which mid pipe? And why if Im not planning on tuning?
I was replying to this: "Mid pipe , 2.75 intakes plenty fast and you still have warranty. You put a tune on it and your powertrain warranty is gone "

Additionally, passing emissions in certain States must always be a consideration, down the line.

I've had good luck with AMS products, AAM had too much drone...I have no further personal knowledge about midpipes.

$6-12K depending on what parts/installer you go with. If you are worried about your warranty, then don't tune it and just do a Midpipe and 2.75" intake as others suggested. If you don't care and want the performance, it's only a matter of how deep your pockets are...

Engine is broken in at the factory so there's no need to baby it at first.

OP.......As many have said, just go w Ecutek and standard bolt-ons

^ Correct, 3" flows more air that the MAF sensor accounts for and causes the car to run poorly without a tune.

^Exhaust won't affect your warranty - it's reflashing the ECU with a tune that could jeopardize it. Having said that, adding a new catback exhaust is one of the least bang/buck items you can do on a GT-R. Do the Midpipe first and then decide if you want the rest - most exhaust performance gains on the GT-R occur by deleting the restrictive cats in the Midpipe and downpipes (but downpipes will require a tune).
