Bone stock 2015 with a full tank of fuel. Runs with and without launch control. I was surprised the trap speeds are basically the same given how slowly the car rolls off the line with no launch control. I realize these are nothing impressive on a forum filled with 4-figure-hp monsters- just getting a baseline before modifying and tuning!

Also, can anyone tell me whether VDC OFF vs VDC-R helps? I think the car was held back a bit in the first few feet due to wheel slip.

78 deg ambient, sea level, coolant at 185 for start of runs and oil and trans at 200.

(have timeslips but cannot post pic)

60'     2.282                       1.724

330    5.5                           4.761

1/8     8.105 @ 95.35         7.330 @ 96.79

1000  10.348                     9.556

1/4     12.230 @ 119.46     11.424 @ 120.24

I'd say I would share the helmet cam video, but since I can't even post a pic I can only imagine a video will be even more of a hassle.

Hahh funny about the helmet cam comment. If you use Tapatalk you can post pictures native through the app. Looks like you are down a little on power / should be trapping in the 123-125 range if I remember correctly. What was the DA ? Your trap speed doesn’t change much in the 1/4 with or without launch control at stock levels. On a stock car, I think DBAs had to use vdc R for launch. Off is definitely quicker with dbas as it allows more wheel slip. Get yourself a Cobb or Exutek and throw an OTS map and you’ll get into the 10’s. Good luck and thanks for sharing.

Your trap speeds may be close, but the times are not.  Much faster using launch control.  These are fun cars no matter what level of power they make.  Good luck on your modding journey!! :)

Yeah I see times of 11.2-11.3 @ 124-126, so it seems I am down a bit. The car ran the 11.4 @ 120 incredibly consistently. Perhaps my intercooler was heat-soaked from sitting in the staging lanes for so long. It was also pretty humid. The air filters may be original too at ~12k miles on the car.

Hopefully I can make it back there this week with the mid-pipe, gotboost intakes and Cobb tune. If the car touches the 10's I will be more than happy. No E85 around here unfortunately, so I am not bothering with the fuel mods or downpipes for now.

You're running some race gas or octane booster in with the Premium right? If you're 93 octane, it's not as bad as 91 but I would still put a couple gallons of ms 109 or equivalent in for a safety margin. Maybe drop the tire pressure a few lbs too to drop that 60'.

I don't know what the DA was (how do I tell?). No octane booster, just 93 octane and full tire pressure.

Find the closest track. https://airdensityon...tional_Dragway/ If you click on F gives you the actual and forecast. FYI - dragy does this automatically for you and displays it on the top right of the screen.

I will check that next time. Since similar weather, looks like my DA was about 700' or so.

Perhaps I should just get one of these Dragy devices. $25 a pop at the drag way and a lot of waiting in line and sucking down fumes while the car saturates with heat.

12.2 without LC seems very slow . Why our GTRs are so slow without LC ? they have a decent amount of TQ. We tested my friends Huracan few months ago , it went 10s without LC and that car doesn't have crap for TQ down low

what are you talking about? It’s 5.2L and has more aggressive gearing on its 7-speed

I don't think you know much about cars . it's a N/A  5.2L that makes peak TQ at 6500rpms vs TT 3.8 V6 that make peak TQ at 3200rpms

Gearing helps a ton in a huracan launch mode and from 4200 to 8000 they still make atleast 575nm / 424 lb ft and only make 600nm / 442 lb ft to begin with. Pretty flat curve. They do run 10s all day long lol. Extra 600lbs does not help the R35 either lol.

The GTR crawls off the line without launch control as it takes some time to build boost. In my mind a 12.2 at 120 is incredible considering. A rolling start at even 5mph makes a tremendous difference.

A LOT more than u do lol .Since you mentioned the huracan was not using lc on the run then it is leaving from idle. Where the gtr loses is the range it does not make boost 700rpm-3000rpm, a range where the huracan makes more torque, also there is the torque multiplication that occurs in the lower gears due to having that extra cog and a final drive of nearly 5:1 vs 3.4:1 for the gtr.

I went yesterday. Second time at the track with the car. The only upgrade I have is an exhaust. Still stock tires but let out a ton of air. Car was in RCR.

2020 GTR Premium.. Not tech savvy so I have no idea how to upload a picture on here...but the car is red and beautiful.

Wow your car is a lot faster than mine. What year is yours? Perhaps I need to lower the tire pressure.
