I have a 2021 inbound and I'm curious if I should still be weary of this issue. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Yes....... Get it fixed under warranty before it ends, may 30k miles ........Next fix, get an after market housing fix with upgraded bearings........it may be 50k to 60k  before you have to pay.

I have yet to see a single person with a 2017+ complain about this, let alone a 2019+.

I've just bought a 2017 and the bell housing needed to be replaced by the dealer before I picked it up.

So the problem is unfortunately still around.

Was there another revision post 2017? This issue has me on the fence about my incoming 2021 as the dealer is 96 miles away. No local GT-R cert dealers that are worth anything.

My 2018 had one replaced couple months ago . car has 17K miles ,  rattle started around 8K miles then it was getting louder and louder. Had it inspected by a dealer and they said it was out of specs so they replaced it . new one is quiet  so far

It is not an issue.............new housings are better......you can have it fixed under warranty for free and at 60k miles, get ungraded bearing fix... Every supercar has 1 issue or another........Porsche has cooling pipes made of plastic..........McLaren has electronic issues............. Jump right off the fence and just enjoy........... This issue will not leave you stranded like the other 2 cars........

I have a 2017 with 22,000kms and have the bell housing rattle.  I skipped the dealership and went with a ATR bell housing.

Alright so I went to drive a 2020 with 19k on it to get a feel. First of all, holy shit the mechanical noises this thing made....no way its normal, random loud grinding when on full lock trying to park. And what appeared to be intermittent bell housing rattle at idle in Park. But my biggest take away was the drivers seat. Perhaps Im missing something, but the bottom cushion is terrible. The general shape doesnt seem comfortable. Tilt all the way down or up didnt change much. I can live with the bolsters as Im 5-7 135, and slim build. Otherwise, it feels extremely premium inside, the polar opposite of the ZL1 1LE I drove before.

This particular car definitely seemed abused. Scrapes on the bottom, chips, etc.

The full lock grinding noise is normal on AWD cars.

If Im missing something by all means have at it. Something just felt off about this particular seat, Ive been in GT-Rs before with no issue.

Will do! Its white over red. I just hope it all works out.

Unrelated question, have the seats changed at all in the GT-Rs life? Doesn't look like it.

I've had AWD cars that didn't do it but GTR differentials are *#@%&$# tight lol.

Tap at the gas and let it coast, diffs are looser on deceleration. Or just drive it only on snow ;)
