Per usual, GT-R World Cup did not disappoint;

While we didn't take home any #1 spots like we're used to we still left there with Coy, Jesse and Mike all running personal bests, along with a personal best in our C900 powered shop 911 utilizing the all new Motec M1 PNP kit! Not to mention a weekend full of hanging out with friends and catching up after this crazy year of 2020!

I must say that the addition of the DCT class really made the event even more enjoyable. Not only were there all kinds of different cars to watch run that weren't just GT-Rs but it also brought in a new group of racers that were a blast to get to race with… and by race I mean drink lol!

Jesse's car is running basically the same setup that it did when it won both GT-R WC and TX2K last year. We did add an ETS Fridge intercooler and tested out a set of cams we had GSC do for us to see if we could eeeek out just a tiny bit more HP. He locked down 3rd so I guess we can't be pissed off at a podium! With the updated intercooler and cams we were able to nab a personal best ET of 7.780 which we were very happy with.

Dr. Dorcik's car was another 58mm car we had running. That car used to be an ELITE Prime car that we recently updated to a Pro58 kit. It's on a 17" tire and well over full weight. He also bested his best time by a long shot… almost 2 tenths and was able to run an 8.18@168 on a very mild tune. We were very excited for Dr. Dorcik!

Then we have the young man we all know and love… Coy Jr!! This year we updated his car to run our stock cover ELITE Gateways vs last year he was on a pair of Nismo turbos given the rule change. We were all anticipating seeing just what those would do since we haven't had an opportunity to run a set of Gateways all out just yet. The goal for those turbos has always been to be able to run consistent 8 second passes at around 150mph. Welllll… the car ran an 8.9@150 first pass and then proceeded to run about 6-7 passes in a row from 8.80@151 to low 8.9s! He drove the car to the hotel every night and back to the track which is in the true spirit of that class and that package! I couldn't be more pleased as to how that turned out! Coy ended up taking 4th, I believe in a massive class of over 20 cars. He was taken out by Eric the organizer of the event……. Imagine that LMAO!!! (We love you Eric but we have to give you shit)

The shop 911 was being driven by my girlfriend which was fun all in itself! But we really needed to gather good data through the 3 days to work on the all new Motec firmware we just released today for it. The weekend helped with that a lot! I think we did 15+ passes in that car through the 3 days which allowed us to really dial in the launch, traction control, and lots of different strategies in the Motec. That car is a stock engine, stock trans 991 with our C900 package on it. That includes our turbo kit, intercoolers and exhaust with the supporting mods. We ran a best of 9.5@147 with lots of improvement to be had next time out. This was on a 20" R888. I can't even tell you how much I love that car! Looking very much forward to future progress with that platform as we push the built engine cars on Motec at TX2K!

Overall, as I said just an awesome weekend! The track was on point thanks to Victor and the guys at Bradenton Motorsports Park! They're always extremely accommodating and helpful to us vendors and I couldn't have asked for any more support for the track or workers. Then Eric, Parin and Arne are just awesome! It was years and years ago we all sat at the Buscher Shootout and talked about how there was a need for a super high-end event for the leaders in the industry…. and that's just what they have created. Year after year I can't wait to go back.. this year was no different. With the addition of the DCT class, I'll be excited next year to bring some more 911s, C8 Corvettes, R8s and Lambos with us down there!

Now it's time to get ready for some roll racing in TX!!! LEGO!

Nice job....very impressive, to say the least!

With regard to this statement: "stock cover ELITE Gateways vs last year he was on a pair of Nismo turbos given the rule change". I saw that AMS is saying their stock NISMO turbo car that was at the event, is making 1233/1071. Even on Meth that seems rather high, so perhaps their NISMO's are modded after all and are similar to your Gateways?

That car had 58mm turbos inside a stock cover. No longer Nismo turbos

What's the setup in Jesse's car? It was rippin :thumbsup:
Our race 3.8 engine build paired with a Pro58 turbo kit
