I am currently in the talks with a seller for a 2016 GTR with 50,000 miles. It has an armytrix stainless steel valvetronic catback exhaust 102mm system. Price he's asking for is 72,000. Car has all maintenance records and the car sounds and looks good.

What color? Dealer?

And 5 years down the road when you trade it in for $30k nobody is going to give a F*** that you licked it clean. Keep it up!

It is called the "pop and bang map" in the UK and is generally used by twats who spend most of their time racing around central London acting like dicks.

I’m not in the market and know the used market is kind is crazy now, but a 15 for 70k with 50k miles. Pay a little more or finance at historically low rates and get something that has some factory warranty remaining. So many variables you can’t control. Good luck.

How many owners, what states has it been titled in, how do tires and brakes look, when last fluid change. Original transmission ? Modified and stocked back out? Any paint work ? Etc.

Little on the pricey side. White is a great color but 50k miles is high.

It was a driver and a not a garage queen...All maintenance records is a huge plus...But 72K seems a tad high for a sports car with 50K

$72K is high with 50k miles.  However, based on what I know of the current used GTR market, this is within norm.

It could very well be the low interest rates that have created these inflated GTR prices.  I bought my 2014 Black Edition with 9k miles and one owner from a Porsche dealership for $75K back in 2016.  Now, a similar scenario would cost you at least $15K more.

But I digress.

One thing that I put value on a purchase is if the purchase is local.  This way I can assess the condition of the car, standing still,  behind the wheel, and if need be, pay someone you know to conduct a PPI.  And then make a better educated decision.

Will prices get better in the near future?  Doubt it.  So if you want something with low miles ~10K mi., in the DBA arena, you'll need to increase your budget well into the $80Ks (IMO).

But if you don't want a DBA and CBA is ok, here's one being sold in my neck of the woods:

A first year stock CBA will be worth money some day and not too bad of a price considering miles and it being stock.  I paid $63K for my almost stock 2009 with ~4800 miles, but had a midpipe with Cobb Stage I tune.

Supply and demand is what is causing the market prices to rise. Many OEMs are not shipping car, first to covid and now chip (cross traffic and other) shortages. Interest rates have been rock bottom for years, so that’s not driving prices. There are less than 100 used ones and 16 new ones on cars.com. As a FYI - there are only 22 new Charger hellcats in the country right now - line is completely shut down. Prices are only going to rise.

Man, the GTR market is rough right now as a buyer. Hopefully we can secure one and it’ll continue to increase

Supply and demand may have something to do with it.  Which is why is amazing to see a hand full of 2020s sitting at the dealers for almost a year with discounted prices.  And a few 2021 starting to collect dust at MSRP (and some below MSRP).

I agree that available numbers for new GTRs are hitting rock bottom at 17/18/20/28 (car.com/CG/AT/NissanUSA); it used to range from 40s to 90+ units at any given time in the year.  Definitely sad times we're living...

I mentioned the interest rates just because I got an offer for 2.59% APR (+0.5% discount for BofA "preferred members"), which is the lowest I've seen myself (for a general car loan).

The R35 has been sitting on the lots since 2014/2015, when they started cranking the price north. Why Nissan started offering the $10k rebate and dealer cash. They used to have two year old cars sitting at the dealerships when the new MY arrived. The scarcity and pricing for the newer cars is what drives the used market. New for $120k or a slightly used low mile one for $80k and seems like a deal. Even though the used one msrp’d for substantially less. Keep raising the base price and the used guys keep getting the floor moved higher. Nothing is more exacerbated than the new Nismo followed by the Track Edition.

That’s a great rate !!! I financed some of the Acura to get better price out of dealer if I held it for six months as they got kick back. Lambo Dealer locked in 2.7% from Maserati for me.

At 2.09% I’d finance as much as you can ;). Free money.

I agree that the price is high.

But I had to reply because I was going to ask you what made you go from a GTR to a Camaro ZL1 1LE?  But then I saw the Hennessey supercharger 850 hp package, lol.  I would love to see how your car performs.  My friend bought a Camaro SS recently because his wife and dad convinced him that the ZL1 payments were too much.  But now he keeps telling me to get the ZL1, lol.

But I kind of have my mind made up on a GTR.
