Hey guys, I am im the process of getting my setup redone after an engine failure back in November. My old setup was a stock crank built 3.8l with hks gt1000s making 1090/900. The cylinder detonated after one of my id2000s stop firing completely and trashed the engine.
So I dropped off the car to Jamo Power. They pulled the engine and sent it down to Lynch to see what was salvageable.
The new setup is: 3.8L
Kelford 231b cams
O ringed heads
Cometic head gaskets
Arp head and main studs
T1 billet flywheel
Stock Intake manifold
Ams fmic and piping
BL 3.5 intakes
Shep 1k with drag packs and dss axles.
Ecutek tune by Visconti
Nothing crazy on this build. Looking to make 1200-1300 which should be easily obtainable.
The communication between jamo, lynch and myself has been amazing. Pics, texts, phone calls make this rebuild very comforting. Top notch guys for sure!!!
Especially since i always used to wrench on my own stuff but not having time anymore with work and a newborn.
Jamo is doing the install and going over the entire car top to bottom. Visconti will be tuning.
Car should be back together in a week or 2. Dyno results to follow
