Hey all; I’ve done a fair amount of research on this but have a few questions. I pulled the code via Cobb and confirmed via diagnostic mode (thanks GTR life). I read that this is the passenger occupancy sensor and is located inside the passenger seat. I don’t really want to do the 360airbag solution so the question is if I buy a replacement bottom cushion it should include the sensor and resolve the problem yes? Feedback thoughts welcome as well as a better forum topic to post under.

I would imagine that Nissan sells the seat as an entire unit rather than the bottom cushion. Only guessing based off of other minuscule items I have attempted to buy.

If you can find a crashed GTR or just the seat you could save money for sure. The piece youre looking for looks like a giant piss pad for a puppy. Theoretically, you could cut open the seat and replace with a new pad and sew back the seat. I am not sure how only the bottom cushion because I did full seat replacements.

I know you said you do not want to go the 360 route but I can tell you it works if youre in a last ditch effort and end up getting one. It makes it so the car always registers a passenger so the air bag will always go off.

Thanks for the input. I can find used cushions on eBay; assuming they are out of wrecked cars. I was going to have my seats leather upholstered anyhow so it would be easy enough as long as a used cushion has the sensor in it which I would assume so.

Another thought: if you know someone else near by that has a GTR, you could swap the passenger seats to confirm getting a new sensor will fix the issue. Theyre one of the easiest parts to remove from the car. 4 bolts and 4 sensor plugs. This way you do not spend the time and money figuring it out buying other parts.
