I am trying to get set up with alpha 7 package from
AMS. I have a heck of a time getting a call back from anyone. The gentlemen I did speak with initially was extremely rude.

Anyone have other alternatives for a full bolton package? I really wanted to go with AMS but it doesnt seem like that is going to happen.

Any thoughts? New 2020 gtr. No mods yet. Want to do full bolt on plus E85.

I bought a ton of packages from them. At FBO levels or full build levels, there are better shops to contact with much better customer service.
Cicio Performance billet Crank 4.1 w/ CP billet pistons, Zenith R turbos, Cicio wet sump oling upgrade, flex fuel, ETS mid, down pipe, race FMIC, STM titanium axle back, ID2000s, Shep One K with drop gears, DS Axles, Volk Saga 18 10/12 (MT ET Streets), Advan GT Premium 20 R888. 1450+ hp / 1210+ tq

Old setups : more AMS motors than anyone I know - Alpha 9 w/ AMS 3.8, GTX3582R Gen II w/ AMS 4.1 billet crank, GTX3582R Gen II w/ AMS 4.0 big bore billet crank and of course FBO E85.

They're rich .. they don't need your money!

Go with Iveytune or RD engineering.

If you are set on AMS products, you can still find shops that carry the brand to do what you need - don't have to go direct to AMS.  Likely be better off that way anyway.

Wasn't there a thread where someone purchased the new Alpha turbo kit and when he said he needed the wastegate re circulated and AMS just told him to go to a muffler shop?

Can AMS truly do a A7 package if they no longer offer the catless downpipes (at least not publicly)?

I think AMS has moved on to other platforms and the GTR is no longer their main interest.  They have almost a dozen other cars on their website they offer parts for.  The GTR is a pretty small community compared to the other cars and after all these years I think they have maxed out about as much as they can.

And, their rep here is not very good anymore.  I would never buy any of their products.  Them and SBD both.

Maybe if you were female and your car was hot pink, that might get their attention and might even get a YouTube segment out of it?

I have been looking between them and Cicio (I think I spelled it right). I spoke with someone from Cicio and they were very cool and nice to work with. They seem to know these cars inside and out.

I spoke with someone from AMS a few months ago. The rep was extremely very rude to me. I was about ready to place an order spending 20k and refused to place it with him. I did speak to a different rep and he was much much better to deal with. Answered a lot of questions and seem very knowledgeable. Their prices are extremely high but good parts and good reputation.

Ams is closer to me. So I think I will give them a shot.

But for those of you who have used them, do they prove good after install service? Any issues after the fact with workmanship etc?

I did. They were extremely impressive. I honestly was impressed. They spent a lot of time talking with me about my goals etc. I think it was Andrew I spoke with. Great dude.

Location is not the only thing to consider.  AMS may be closer, but I would go with Cicio with no 2nd thought.  They are at the top of the list of places for a GTR.

You have to ship your car to them, but then you can go get it and drive it home.  That would be a great road trip.

AMS just does not have the shine on them they used to.  It's been too many years and there are better, less expensive shops.  And I say that seriously since paying less for a build has not always been the best way to go, but with Cicio, a lower price and better end product is the best of both worlds.

I just got my car back from Cicio North. Jan, Dan and Taylor are excellent to work with. I did full build with them and the fit and finish of everything and service was beyond expectations.

Always great to hear.

If you can find the time… creating a post in the Vendor Review section goes along way as well.

Cheers

For sure.

They are even willing to assist me in selling my car from Canada.
