Hi.

I have a two post I use on my other vehicles for maintenance and was wondering if anyone has some input on the GT-R. I am aware of the lift pad adapters but seeing as reverselogic is unable (due to no fault of their own) to supply the adapters I'm curious if the standard "hockey puck" pads will suffice. Has anyone used flat pads to lift this car?

Thanks for any insight.

Nick

I have a two post and just use the standard pads to raise the car.

I tried the BMW adapters and thought they were too thin for my liking. At the suggestion of a few friends who already went through the dilemma, I ended up with 4 hockey pucks at a cost of less than $10.

On my lift (Danmar M6), the pad alone is so low the arm would crush my side skirt as the arms come up. Hockey pucks are too tall to slide in without driving up on a board, anndd my final try was the BMW style adapters I linked to above, I've used them for a year and a half now without issue.

Thanks so much for all the replies! I'll give the pads above a try as I suspect I will have the same issue with the side skirts.

Thanks again!

Good info. Sounds like side skirt clearance is a consideration regardless of the lift. Us guys with Challenger lifts & 2-stage rear arms (such as on the VLE10) in the narrow configuration need the hockey pucks to gain additional thickness/clearance so the skirts aren't sitting directly on the rear arms. The Danmars need thinner adapters so the pads on the arms can clear the skirts.

Ordered the pads. I'll see how it works out. I'm using a Bendpak LC7. Have a friends Lotus Esprit on it without problem, and I originally worried the skirts would be an issue there so...

Thanks again.

Nick
