Just a few more days till the "official" specs.
I'm still betting its rated at either 525 or 530HP here in the US. Were already at 485 and with "at least 40 HP more" it would be 525HP minimum.
You know it's kind of funny - I will be the first to admit that I was (VERY) concerned about the large price hike of the 2012.
I hummed and hawed over what would likely be a 20K increase in Canada ($119,500 base from $99,500). It's a big increase.
But - I was at Chapters today - reading the new Road & Track which had the stats page at the back (showing cost of the cars and their performance) and it really set things straight for me;
There are few cars even remotely close to the GTR in terms of what it can do for the price (track as well as straight line numbers).
Even if they raise the cost of the US model to over 100K - only the ZR1 and Viper has anything close to offer at the same price point.
Most other cars were high 100's (like the Porsche's) to 400K (Ferrari's, Lambo's, LFA) for similar numbers.
Nissan is not exotic (and they have said as much) - but their product is pretty damn impressive for the dollar.
So - for me - it looks like there's still really only one way to go...
