Alcon USA, through their USA Technical Partner and Master Distributor Forged Performance, is pleased to formally announce the refreshed line-up of GT-R braking upgrades and components. After extensive track and usage testing, Alcon and Forged Performance have worked together to launch the highest quality and best performing brake upgrades for the GT-R.

Earlier this month, we gave the GT-R community a sneak peak at the improvements made to the Alcon rotor offering and we are excited to share these final details with you.

“I wanted to give everyone a first look at the new extreme duty racing front rotors from Alcon. As many of you know, Forged and Alcon have been working closely over the past couple of months to launch the most durable and highest performing rotor upgrades to the GT-R community. During the busy season, we track our GT-R’s almost on a weekly basis so using the most durable and effective braking components is a big priority to us. A formal announcement is forthcoming, but wanted to show you all the difference between the Alcon street rotor and the Alcon race rotor. Those that track their car regularly are going to enjoy these new thicker castings, with smaller air gap. I did 2 hours of track testing this weekend with them, and came away very impressed. These race grade thicker and heavier castings will result in greater longevity and rotor durability, as well as a higher capacity to absorb heat. And best of all, pricing remains the same for the new race casting. We have these products in stock and they are also available through any Alcon dealer, including AMS, Kaizen Tuning, SP Engineering, Jotech, Speed for Sale, and Vivid Racing”

In addition to the line of replacement rotors and larger rotor upgrades, we continue to offer the Super Kit Big Brake kit, available with either a fully floating race rotor, or a more street friendly semi-floating rotor. The Alcon Carbon CCX Kits are also in stock and ready to ship. Call your Alcon dealer for further details.

does this new 396mm rotor have the same hats as the old 400mm rotor?

The 400mm Alcon rotor has been discontinued. The 396mm Alcon uses a new hat that is not compatible with the old 400mm rotors. If anyone has the 400mm rotors currently, and purchased them from a USA based Alcon dealer, please send me a PM for details on our upgrade program.

Based on our testing, we are expecting the thicker 396mm casting to last 2-3 times as long as the older 400mm casting. You guys are going to be impressed with the vastly improved longevity.
