Are any DTC codes appearing after this and any idea if the passenger airbags function as occupied? Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

I'll check the codes next time I take my laptop out to the car. JDM cars do not have the occupancy sensor, so in theory just disabling the light should have zero impact on the airbags.

OK, so I now have a solution to this. Tested and working with no faults for me. I had no occupancy sensor under my seat, and checked another GTR, and it didn't either.

My only solution that was easy, and free, was to make sure the light doesn't light up. So that's what I've done.

And this is how I did it. Please note, this stops the light working completely, no blinking light on the dash, no nothing. If you do this, it is at your own risk.

First locate the airbag module. It is just behind the arm rest in the middle, and unplug the middle yellow plug.

On the connector, at the bottom there will be 4 wires, and the two you want are 2 and 15, red and black.

All you do is cut 2 and 15, perhaps an inch away from the connector on the loom. On the connector, tape up/heatshrink 2 and 15 separately.

On the loom side, solder 2 and 15 together. Then tape it up and heatshrink.

And that's it. Done. No more flashing light, no more light at all on the dash.

Actually you on the right track for part of it, you have to put a resistor in the yellow plug, which Ive done, but the occupancy sensor is different again !
