Check engine light

16 May 2020 - 04:15 PM

I finally took the car out for a nice drive today and got into it at 2nd gear- it spun bad and red lined, was on the rev limiter for a split second and caused the check engine light to come on. Flicker. I immediately got off the throttle when it did this - went away and never came back. Car runs perfect, I don't drive this car hard at all and was wondering if this is normal for the engine light to come on in that situation. Car is fbo on 93. Thanks in advance

New mexico owners!

23 February 2020 - 03:21 PM

Hey gents, I am moving to Las Cruces NM at the end of summer this year and have been in town every other week now- that being said all I see is 91 octane fuel... my car is full fbo, tuned for 93 and e85. I found via internet 1 station that apparently has e85.
Does anyone know if there are any 93 octane stations and at worst case can my car run on 91 and not damage anything? I don't race the car and just joy ride with a few highway pulls here and there. Thanks in advance.

Stocking up on maintenance items

02 December 2019 - 11:26 PM

Hey guys, purchased all these items from spdbydesign. Motul trans fluid and diff fluids along with ngk "race" heat range 9 spark plugs. They are all on sale and figured I'd purchase the plugs too for a few years down the road... anyways, are these the correct/ optimum plugs for my setup? 2015 full fbo mods. Thanks!

New owner and loving it

18 November 2019 - 11:24 AM

Just a simple topic- I am thoroughly loving my new gtr. From the ergonomics, handling, sound, performance, and the trunk space- perfect car for me and I think I am going to hang on to this one for a long while. It took going thru a few german cars to get to this one and glad I chose it.
Only pet peave of mine(I am a clean ocd person) is how fast the car gets dirty esp. In the rear. I guess it is because of the larger injectors and additional mods that speed up the process. I know a simple whipedown after a drive solves this. But hey that is the only issue lol

Newbie question

13 November 2019 - 05:46 AM

Just wondering for information purposes what my(new car) to me will run down the quarter. 15 premium- 1000cc injects, ecutek visconti mild street tune that was dyno tuned, entire fuel system upgraded, port and polished intake manifold, 3" intake, down pipes and midpipe with factory exhaust in the rear. Upgraded blow off valves and lastly is able to run e85 with the system it has on it. Now- I am a horrible driver as far as racing as ive only been down the track a few times in my previous car(c63 amg) so my experience is limited. The previous owner never raced it or even launched it- only time it really got ran "hard" was on the dyno at visconti. It made 640 to the wheels it that helps. Thanks
