Racing Brake ZR1 Carbon Ceramic kit for GT-R
19 February 2015 - 12:50 PM
Just saw this kit released by Racing Brake - true bolt-on with no modifications. And at $16k it's less than 1/2 the price of the Alcon CCX kit.

I just put the Racing Brake kit with calipers and iron rotors on my own GT-R, going to seriously consider replacing the rotors with these ZR1 CCM disks once they wear out!

Weight savings of 12 lbs rotating mass with Racing Brake rotors
27 January 2015 - 10:22 AM
I lost over 6 lbs per corner of rotating mass by replacing my OEM rear rotors with Racing Brake rear rotors. Same size and thickness as OEM but the Racing Brake rotors are made of forged aluminum, with a iron ring insert for the parking brake, versus the OEM rear hat that is made completely from iron.

Brake caliper pin punch-out tool
23 December 2014 - 03:33 PM
If you ever plan to change your pads, this very handy punch-out tool from Racing Brake really helps. It prevents you from hitting your caliper (or your hand) accidentally when punching in/out the pins that secure the pads in. I wish I had something like this years ago. Got to try it out when I installed my new Racing Brake system and it worked great.
