Wow that really sucks!!! This gives me an idea that inside the wheel well I'd stick a sign reading "Hey if you're stealing my wheels, please go ahead an steal my brakes too! Heck steal my gray seats as well I won't mind :irock: "

Everyone should have wheel locks... no matter what kind of wheels you have. I've seen this happened so many times... It's ridiculous

I thought there was supposed to be something special about the GT-R wheels making it harder to steal?

FWIW, wheel locks don't help. Thieves are prepared for that. My old STi had the wheels jacked. I found all four of my wheel locks on the ground with sockets pounded over them.

:irock:

Wheel locks just slow people down, but are worth having. If they want the wheels they will take them like that, or pull a gun on you at a stoplight.

Not something you should spend too much time worrying about. Thats my take on it.

I wouldn't even care about the wheels - more about the damage done removing them.

yup thats my car... seems that 13 cars in this place had wheels stolen in 4 months... at my girlfriends apartment complex and they havent said a thing about it, i have the news channels coming down tommorrow to do a whole story on the place, its security and what happened...

as far as wheel locks.. 3 of the people there whose wheels were stolen 2 or 3 times each.. they purchased 20 sets of wheels locks.. and put 5 wheel lock lugs on each wheel... instead of just the one.

if u have a 5 bolt or 4 bolt rim, 1 wheel lock does nothing cause they can remove 3 and hit the wheel hard enough a few times and it snaps the lug, or they just hammer a socket over it.. thing is if u have 5 locks on each wheel thats alot of hammering noise and work

as a dealer we have had so many sets of wheels stolen at night that we got a dog to guard the lot for 600/month. It became a real problem. After giving this so much thought i realized the only way to protect your car is to either get a dog/security guard, or a audible alarm system with tilt sensors. Its worth the 500 bucks for a great alarm.

i am looking into alarms.. just curious which is recommended.. i dont see anything with a grenade or C4 explosive option to kill everyone around the car.

The hardest thing for me to look at are those concrete blocks and the jack placement. Feel sorry for you....that really sucks! Be nice to put some bait out and catch those pricks in the act. Of course, I'd probably shoot them if I caught them and then I'd be in jail.
