I want to change my T/M oil (first time @ 5000 miles) from factory fill to Willall and would like to do it myself with some instruction, because the dealership here wants to charge me $550 for labour. I have the ESM but couldn't get it to work. Can someone who has replaced their T/M oil please do a write up so it can be stickied.

Go to:

This is how to Flush & change the Transmission oil, if you are going to switch to Willall you have to flush the System first.
Good luck.

Thanks for the link Ottov, and thanks Nick for this clear DIY.

Could this perhaps be put as a sticky by the mods in the Service & Maintanance section.

You don't ACTUALLY HAVE to flush to switch to WillAll, HOWEVER, based on the amount of metallic "goo" that has been plugging up valve bodies, this may be a good idea at the first fluid change anyway.

I think I am going to do that. I am having a shop work on mine for a good price, I will take my video camera out. I just hope I dont forget now.

I wanted to do it myself, but I am too much of novice to do anything like this.
