Sadly these aren't complete reviews...ok maybe they are but they aren't "tests"... I look forward to those...

From the Road and Track article.

Nissan is introducing an interesting new program for GT-R customers where owners of 2009, 2010 and 2011 GT-Rs can get their cars upgraded to 2012 specs…sort of like upgrading the operating system of your PC from Vista to Windows 7. It’ll be interesting how many takers there are for this program; prices will vary depending on your car and which upgrades you choose.

intriquing..

I saw this too, I'd love to have the new LC4. I'm hoping that once these are out, thistle and the other "big brains" over at Cobb can see what has changed...

wonder if there will be a production 2012 in the UK soon enough for Top Gear to squeeze a review into an episode before they go off the air again.

that means 0-100 km/h in 2.8 - 2.9 seconds! That's in Turbo S PDK territory, not the standard Turbo PDK.

It's funny nowadays with the infotech so advanced, that all these magazines are actually falling behind of info which we've all known for what? A few months ahead?? Interesting reading at the R&T report saying that it looks too close to a CBA model.... I mean come on, it's a facelift of course it will in general looks the same. Unlike the P-brand which looks the same since what? WWII or should I say it started life as a air cooled rear engined "People" Mover? :whip:

"New forged-aluminum ten-spoke Rays wheels knock 6.6 pounds off the car’s weight and are stiffer than the outgoing wheels. (Optional six-spoke wheels are another 3.5 pounds lighter still.)"

He wasn’t able to get under 3 seconds—achieving 3.0 seconds twice, 3.1 twice, and 3.4 several times. These are times without a foot of rollout, as Automobile Magazine publishes, so you’ll likely see even faster times in magazines that use twelve inches of rollout.

Depending on how its tested, we will see 2's.

Mizuno says a 1-mm increase in the stroke of the thermostat allows greater coolant flow, which helps compensate for the higher cylinder temperatures. A larger throttle body flows more air while exhaust backpressure was also reduced.

1mm....

The brake pedal has less flex and more immediacy to it when the brakes are still fresh, but during lapping, the 3800-plus-pound mass starts to eat into the performance of the stock street pads pretty quickly.

Even at 390mm, its still not going to be enough for the hardcore track guys.

(Radiator temperatures during high-speed Nürburgring development tests, for example, were 50 degrees Fahrenheit cooler. There is also a bigger thermostat onboard.)

50F. That will help with trans temps, engine temps, oil temps.

motor trend mentioned: "Prior to our spirited runs on California's central coast roads.."

= confirmation of why a 12 was spotted in SLO earlier in the week.
its all part of this same gig

ps, their vid clip of 12 vs 11 drag race at buttonwillow shows view near starting line and it does look like 12 got the holeshot, so based on this new evidence i concur that a more accurate square-off is indicated.
