I have a set of 17" Bogart wheels and am looking at putting a set of M&H Drag Radials on them

I've found one other thread where the 275/50r17 works and has the correct diameter for my combination that will keep my ETS happy

  • Tread Width: 9.5"
  • Section Width: 10.5"
  • Diameter: 28.0"
  • Circumference: 88.0"
  • Rim Size: 9.0"

As I was looking at the M&H web page I also noticed they sell a 325/45r17 with the correct diameter

  • Tread Width: 11.3"
  • Section Width: 12.6"
  • Diameter: 28.0"
  • Circumference: 88.0"
  • Rim Size: 11.0"

Has anyone tried to squeeze a 325 onto the Bogart wheels? The safe bet is obviously the 275 tire, but that extra bit of tread on the tarmac would be nice.

Thanks,

John-

For future reference - I Called M&H and talked to the RaceMaster Himself - yes the 325/45r17 will fit on the 17" wheels that are 10" wide.

Customer Service at M&H rocks! Very knowledgeable about fitment, answered all my questions and is very enthusiastic about helping customers improve their 60' times! :)

For the Archives!

The M&H 325/45R17 Drag Radial fits perfectly on 17x10" Bogarts. On the car with 30psi in them, the measured rollout is almost exactly 88" - Perfect for the ETS with my front 20" MPSS combination.

Do you face any problem running 20 in front ?
Is it better than all 18 ?
So far - no, I've put about 120 miles on the combination in street driving and several 'practice' launches on tarmac.

Is it Better?? time will tell - It's certainly cheaper than buying 4 new 18" wheels and tires, I researched the heck out of which direction to go and found a couple of others on this forum running similar combinations with success.

What size are your front wheels 265/35r20?
My normal street tires are Michelin Pilot Super Sport
Front - 285/35ZR-20
Rear - 335/30ZR-20

Switching to the Bogarts with 325/45R17 M&H I have the exact rollout as the MPSS

I've put some more street miles on the Bogart/M&H combo, so far no real drama up to about 120ish in a straight line. At 30psi They definitely feel a bit squishy around corners, I wouldn't want to be too aggressive on turns with them on.

Thnx for the info. I'm running MPSS 265/35r20 in front so was curious.
I'm guessing you swap the rearset regularly? Or are you primarly straight lining it?
This is a drag/roll specific setup, I'll swap them on, drive to the track and rip off a few passes, drive home and swap the MPSS rears back on.

followup - So far this wheel/tire combination works well, I drove 90 miles to a local track, aired them down and thrashed on the car all day with multiple no-prep dig and roll races, aired them back up and drove home. No drama!

I managed to out - 60' a Tesla model 3 performance. For the unprepped surface I set my launch control settings WAY soft @ 3200 rpm and 2psi. Can't wait to get to a timed event so I can get some official 60' times.

Could you send me the complete specs on your wheels/tyres setup :)

I'm thinking to go this route, my issue is that i live in switzerland and theres no bogart wheels or MH dealers here :(

I'm trying to improve my 60-130 as 'm on stock 20" wheels with mpss and i'm getting a ton of wheel spin in 2nd on rolling launch from 35 mph.

Does this setup clears in a lowered car ? i'm lowered with H&R springs

Thanks in advance

Advan GT
Front - 20x10.0 5-114.3 +35
Rear - 20x12.0 5-114.3 +20

PILOT® SUPER SPORT
Front - 285/35ZR20
Rear - 335/30ZR20

17x10" Bogarts with M&H 325/45R17 Drag Radial.

be very careful - I did a lot of research to make sure my front to rear rollout matched to protect my ETS. This combination of wheels and tires are exactly the same diameter/rollout. I verified using a cloth tape measure wrapped around the mounted tires.

Reach out to Michael at ETS, They are a distributor and he should be able to get you a set of wheels.

Thanks Johnny

I was thinking to reuse my stock front wheels for this racing setup .

Do you know if a 285 tire will fit on the stock fronts 9.5"?

Thanks In advance

Welll, for my front MPSS 285 the recommended rim width is 9.5" - 11"

The tire manufacturer will have the recommended width listed on their web site.

Research is your friend, All of this information is out there, as my kids say - GTS!

(Google That Shit) :)
