Hello everybody my name is Anthony i recently sold my c6 z06 in hopes of getting into a Nissan Gtr 2009-10 is my price budget , i currently own a Evo 9 mr but its on the market for sale. I found a 09 Gtr with 44k miles i was just wondering if the Carfax looks clean and paying 59k for this is to much or priced correctly

Any help/input is appreciated.

Welcome and congrats!

The carfax service records look good. I didn't notice any major repair or failure replacement under warranty. I would still get a full PPI from a local Nissan dealership. Insist on arranging and paying for the PPI yourself so you know it has really been done and by someone you trust, not the dealer's buddy down at Nissan...

The pics show a pretty clean car. I wouldn't worry too much about the mods and paint. It's going to be tough finding a 2009-2010 in this range that doesn't have some mods.

59,000 is fair for the year, mileage, and if PPI comes back clean. I don't think you will be able to talk this one down much being that it's been on the lot for less than a month. If you are able to talk it down quite a bit, I would be wondering why they want to move it so quickly.

Best of luck!

don't completely agree with phow's advice. I bought my 09 almost 3 years ago with 18K miles on it for 62K. Although you might not be able to talk the price down to 52K you should be able to get it to 55-56K or so which I think is much more reasonable. make sure to check the brakes/rotors/tires which could be your first big expense

I totally agree you can get a 2009 with similar miles for 55-56k. That would be a great price but 59k is still fair for the listing in this thread.

However, I don't think you can talk this specific listing down that far, being it is newly listed. If you make an offer of 55k and they take it, be sure to get a really good inspection because that type of price adjustment doesn't normally happen.

im havng alot of trouble finding a low milage gtr though around
60k for 40+k miles seems to be all i find. 40k miles shouldnt be over the top for this car it was built to last so the miles dont really scare me.

It really depends on what kind of miles they are. I will take 40k miles of spirited driving over 20k miles of various racing and track days. When you do the PPI ask about the brakes, launches, and maximum transmission oil temp. If the car is still on original rotors, hasn't been launched a thousand times, and the temps never exceeded 280, it was probably not abused.

What I find entertaining with these threads are the "priced a few thousand high" OR "at that mileage/year it should be". Most buyers in the mid to upper 50-60k range are shopping the options and specific color. Obviously if a PPI checks out, maintenance is up to date, carfax looks good, autocheck looks good and it doesn't smell of farts... pick it up!

I'm not saying you shouldn't negotiate with the seller. You're shopping for a GTR, 55k-59k is no difference IF it's the year, color and condition you want. Sometimes spending a little more is better. If you're going to nickel or dime or can't afford a couple grand more, the car probably isn't for you. Good luck OP!

I agree, but... Sometimes paying a bit more will get your into a GTR that is exactly what you want and other times, you are over paying because the dealer just doesn't understand GTR pricing.

I do understand why threads like these exist. Asking if 59k is a good buy is honestly a reasonable question when you do some searching and find examples like a 2009 and 2012 priced identically and only separated by 10k miles:

2009 w/ 32k miles for 65k (private seller):
http://www.cars.com/...50603/overview/

2012 w/ 42k miles for 65k (private seller):
http://www.cars.com/...94142/overview/

or this 2010 and 2012:

2010 w/ 14k miles for 68k (dealer):
http://www.cars.com/...35484/overview/

2012 w/ 15k miles for 68k (dealer):
http://www.cars.com/...26989/overview/

Personally, if I was the OP, I would save up another 5-10k and buy a DBA. The GTR market is such an odd beast... The fact you can get a DBA for the same price as a CBA is crazy...

Are you willing to travel? Traveling is pretty much a requirement when searching for a clean GTR with the miles and price you want.

2009 w/ 28k miles for 57k:

2009 w/ 26k miles for 59k:
http://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/detail/644180640/overview/

2009 Titanium w/ 36k for 59k:
http://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/detail/644784119/overview/

You can arrange a PPI on any vehicle before traveling to see it. If the dealer won't let you arrange and pay for the PPI remotely, walk away...

Agreed. GTR pricing is very inconsistent and varies by state and availability. I shopped cars.com and autotrader for nearly two months. I wanted a 2015 but was willing to settle for a 2014 with extremely low miles. I had a specific color in mind and ruled out the black edition. Price wasn't so much an issue... Just mileage, color and premium/track. At the time I was willing to slightly overpay for what I wanted.

If the car is priced aggressive be prepared to make an immediate deposit. When I picked mine up, the dealer already had offers. Gave a large does it on my Amex and immediately made travel arrangements.
