I wouldn't.... I would rather wait till the next model year then pay 101k. But asking if it's to much kind of depends on the person. Do you own a million dollar corporation? 4k extra probably isn't a big deal, but if your kind of getting buy and a GT-R is a compulsive buy then 4k could be a lot.

I just purchased the 2012 Blue BE, the color is spectacular, I got it for MSRP, but I would have easily paid $4-5k over sticker no problem. Very tough car to find. Good luck!
Yes I can afford to pay 4k extra but I feel like i am getting ripped off by dealership. Waiting it until next year to save $4000 it would be so much painful.

I'll throw my 2cents in here. It's your money, and if you can spare the 4k without a problem and you cannot find a GTR for msrp then don't deprive yourself for another year to possible have to go through the same thing next year. It's worth the 100k. Have some fun.
Why would anyone pay OVER MSRP on a depreciating asset ? Also there is principle involved here. IMHO anyone that pays over MSRP is a "SUCKA"

supply and demand. And there were plenty of us who paid way over MSRP when the GTR first released here.

Time is money. How many more weeks/months of waiting is worth $4k?
It is only my opinion, not correct or incorrect. If you NEED something that is another story, but if you WANT something never pay over MSRP. In my world a GT-R would be a want and not a need.
I have to laugh when a see a post of "the dealership is WILLING to sell me a GT-R for 4k over MSRP" Like they are doing you a favor(LOL)

That is true, however those people are the same people who's 2009 is sitting on cars.com for $89,000 for 10,000 miles. People have to understand these cars are rare, but not RARE. a quick silver 98 BPU 6 speed supra is rare. a 2012 GTR is hard to find at most. I have seen 3 now at dealers for MSRP and not a penny more. Its about $3000.00 cheaper to have a car shipped from another state at worst....

But, if you have to have it and have some cash to toss away its your money!!

I know it sound so stupid but they didn't want to sell it to me at first because I am out of state customer. They say if sale was done to in state customer then they can allocate another gtr more easily. I don't know where that is true or not. Now, I am leaning toward to buy this one. I would rather spend 4k more and be stress free. Thanks for all the advise guys. Now I know it is time for me to enjoy new blue gt-r

That's how all of these shit-ass Nissan dealers act.

These pieces of shit sell Sentras and Altimas all day and they get on their high horse about the GT-R.

Scumbags.

Since when is a car EVER an asset? I'm on the hunt for a USED GT-R because I know any toy like a GT-R is just that..... A TOY!!

Spend YOUR money how you want and post some pics when its all said and done.

Not seeing too many Blue BE's out there, and the dealer knows it. If you won't miss the 4K, it's doing nothing but holding you from purchasing a SAWEET ride.

Can't take to 4K, the 101K, or the GTR to the grave so which would you be glad you had? The car or the money?

Or be patient, make a LITTLE money off of the 4K and buy a 2013 New or a used 2012 BE.
You would be better off giving a forum member the extra 4k and they're find you one at MSRP. You won't be a sucka but you'll get a friend.
