I always tell my friends to not be aggressive when making U-turns in my car. I hate the binding noise. So you have to put it in to RWD only mode manually and not go over 6 mph? I would have assumed it did that automatically in parking lots or very low speed.
You can put 09-11s in 'snow' mode. It was suggested on this forum a while back - I don't remember how and why, but it seems to prevent binding while doing low speed tight maneuvers.Wasn't this for the purpose of making a U turn?
