Sorry if this info is already on the forum - I tried a search, honest!

I had to push back my GTR purchase and now it looks like that was a good decision based on the improvements rumored for 2013.

Does anyone know when 2013s start to trickle into dealers? Would it be like March-April timeframe?

no details yet... best guess is that dealers will start accepting orders december-ish and cars would start arriving late March. We should know more in the next few weeks as there are several 'official' announcements expected in November.

great thank you! that works well for my timeline I think... one day soon I'll be in a GTR and say bye to my M3 ! :D
^^I knew you would be back soon
. It's addictive. That thread of yours on m3post is still going strong. They are apparently going to announce some official info on the 2013 around Nov. 7. Also, consider that you might find decent deal on a 2012 later this year or early next year.

How can I stay away from a GTR???

I plan to put in a deposit with Jason at Boulder Nissan as soon as he gets his allocation. it'll be perfect timing to get in the March-April timeframe. I'll plan to sell my M3 around that time too.

Yeah that thread over at m3post.com is turning into a full on flame-war... for those who don't know .. I started a thread a few months ago which has turned epic - http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=579934

lol that thread on M3post is hilarious...majority of the people on there are saying get the GTR...so I believe they know that the GTR is hands down a better vehicle than then M3 is although not in the same class, but pretty sure if money was the only thing stopping them from the GTR, they would have had one without even looking back at a M3.

Im waiting for a 2013 as well, good luck..welcome to the forums

I'm really considering placing an order for a 2013 GTR this month. I had sold mine back in 2009 because i didn't like the tranny but heard it drives much smoother in 2012. Hopefully the car will be ready to order by end of November after the LA show. I can't wait to be back.

Every one is itching to get the MY13'. Even though MY12' is great, I would have had a serious let down if I bought one only to find out the next MY' was that much better. The M3 is nice but of course you can't compare it to the GT-R.

Regarding the 2013, there is no solid info to say it's much better. It's obviously going to have some upgrades, but I think Nissan is going to start doing this every year. Therefore, if this type of thing really bothers people, they are going to be disappointed no matter when they buy one. Only solution would be to mod it or buy a new one every year

Exactly... you can't wait forever and there will always be improvements. Buy and enjoy and don't worry if the next one is slightly better. If I had been in a postion to buy already, I would not have hesitated to get a 2012. As is, either by fortune or luck, I'll probably get a 2013 unless someone out there wants to sell their low mileage 2012 for cheap.

I heard from my dealer they are now accepting deposits for the 2013. Delivery is March of 2012. No additional information at this time. I've had some really horrible experiences shopping for a used GTR so giving up on that and just suck it up for a MY13.

I am in the market for either a low mile '09 to modify somewhat heavily or a brand new one, really nothing else. Based on reviews here, I called Hutch Pine at Victoria Nissan yesterday and there wasn't one '12 available within 1000 miles so I think I'm going to get on the list for the 2013. He mentioned the same as Jason that he should know more in the next couple weeks and have his allocation by the first of Dec for late Feb/early March delivery. After talking with him regarding his impressions of the changes/improvements on the 2012 vs earlier models, I think I'm going to go new and keep the modding to a minimum (midpipe/tune/springs/spacers). I was hoping to find something now so I could get it in this year for tax purposes, but I think I'm better off waiting the extra few months if the changes are even close to what they are rumored to be.

Take care!

I'm planning to sell my 2010 around late 2014...I hear 2015 is going to be the last year of the GT-R35 and it probably will come with like around 666 hp by that time ;-)
