GM brought a pretty good ringer. Interesting that every store bought z07 is significantly slower. Pretty hard to trust these results. Stig for example was so much slower relative to this competition.Very strong showing from the Z06 and 650S. Found a few scans online
also keep in mind, different tracks suit different cars and top Gear tests their cars from a stop which also affects the lap times.GM brought a pretty good ringer. Where did you see that Jim drove during this test? The tires come factory? when Jim did drive in the past at this track he posted a 2.41xx.Yup, I heard ringer car (ECU flash, sport cup 2 tires), and ringer driver. Heard the other cars got C & D drivers and the Vette got a ringer driver (Jim Mero, handpicked by GM) that has practiced this course and car a bunch. Still its awesome to see that it those times can be done with enough skill, practice, and tires.
Ill add that I just "heard" all that stuff and dont know if some or all is true.
Money buys results, one way or another.
internet hype...give the Z its do...its a bad ass platform...Heard the same mess when the Nismo blasted the ring time....Where did you see that Jim drove during this test? The tires come factory? when Jim did drive in the past at this track he posted a 2.41xx.
