GM brought a pretty good ringer. Interesting that every store bought z07 is significantly slower. Pretty hard to trust these results. Stig for example was so much slower relative to this competition.

also keep in mind, different tracks suit different cars and top Gear tests their cars from a stop which also affects the lap times.

Yup, I heard ringer car (ECU flash, sport cup 2 tires), and ringer driver. Heard the other cars got C & D drivers and the Vette got a ringer driver (Jim Mero, handpicked by GM) that has practiced this course and car a bunch. Still its awesome to see that it those times can be done with enough skill, practice, and tires.

Ill add that I just "heard" all that stuff and dont know if some or all is true.

Money buys results, one way or another.

Besides the fact that gm reaallyyy wants to sell us that corvette....what is the point of this test then? They should have flown the dude that races the nismo around the ring in 7:08 to run it. Its strange....not only does the corvette have a driver mod in this comparison it also has a tune and cup tires wtf? What if mclaren and the other manufactures applied "tunes" to their cars?
