After spending quite a bit of time trying to find a Bay Area dealer with a GT-R certified mechanic I ended up at Premier Nissan in San Jose (who has 3/could not find any others with any). I have a 2018 GT-R with about 20K miles and it was suggested due to the 60 months I do the 60K/60 month service. The quote for the service is $3800 which seems very high given what it entails which seems to be an oil change, filter replacements, spark plug replacement, brake fluid replacement and an air pump cleaner assembly replacement (?). Plus a bunch of the usual inspections. I searched the forums but couldn't find any other quotes/info on pricing for this service. Has anyone else had it done recently in the Bay Area?

RIDICULOUS!

Are they replacing the tranny, diff, coolant fluids? Then maybe that would understandable. The oem fluids are expensive.

Better yet. You can do the math yourself.

Nice list, probably need to redo that for inflation. None of it is hard to do if you can get the car up and read instructions. You'll want a shop manual though. I found one online back when I did all that for my 2015.

Only fluid being replaced is the brake fluid. The rest were replaced when entire transmission was replaced last year ($22K but covered under warranty). I feel like I am being held hostage due to the fact I'd like it serviced at the dealer and there is a lack of competition in the Bay Area.

Something is up. That math doesn't check out. Maybe ask for an itemized list? I feel the flat rate time in additional services is a little high, but that's only going to add a few hundred dollars. Maybe shop around a little more. We have at least two dealerships in the Sacramento area with certified techs. Seems crazy to me that there aren't more in the bay area.

I think your warranty is holding you hostage, not the dealership. 😁

If your tuned on e85 you should probably switch your spark plugs earlier. I just changed mine yesterday, took me 3 hours going slow and I've never removed the intake manifold before. Mine were the originals on a 2014 with 32k miles (tuned since 8k miles) they all looked ok.
Find an indy shop, this pricing is outrageous.
